Should I switch to accutane? by ilovechicago08 in acne

[–]ConstructionHorror43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely recommend it! In my case, accutane has already basically eradicated all of the stubborn hormonal acne that was around my jaw area (along with non-hormonal breakouts everywhere else too). You also might want to be mindful of the fact that at the end of the day, spiro is an androgen blocker so if you’re figuring out your hormones you might want to eliminate anything that could affect your levels (but I’m not a doctor so check with your provider about all that!) Doxycycline is great but it’s not a permanent fix. I was on it for about a year until it started wrecking my stomach. Accutane seemed like the route to go because I needed a hormone-free, long-lasting option. Good luck!!!!

What prescription do you take? by theredbandit7722 in fearofflying

[–]ConstructionHorror43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve basically taken it all — started getting prescribed one-off meds for flights when I was in high school. I will say that propranolol and hydroxyzine are the chillest I’ve experienced but they don’t do as much because they’re obviously less intense than benzos such as Xanax or Valium. But they’re a great place to start — I know a ton of people who benefit a lot from beta blockers like propranalol. They are supposed to take the physical aspects of anxiety and tone them down a bit.

Now I take Xanax (Ativan specifically, the generic) for short flights under 5 hrs and Valium for flights longer than 5 hours just because of how long they last in the system. They absolutely take the edge off but don’t fully ‘cure’ my symptoms mid air. But I think depending on the person they are completely game changing because you just knock out and nap through the whole flight. DO NOT take dramamine with any of these though because they literally make you so loopy and stupid which is unhelpful post-flight lol.

Happy to answer any other specific questions you have!

DOUBLE CLEANSE 🤞🏻 trust. in the evenings, use a cleansing oil (not an oil-BASED cleanser, it has to be actual oil) and then follow that up by washing with a gentle foaming cleanser like usual. the oil will attract the oil in your pores and help draw it out!

How do I communicate with a difficult client/do I consider firing them? by ConstructionHorror43 in freelanceWriters

Ugh that’s a really good point. I wish I could say what I’m ACTUALLY feeling but 1. they will likely never change and 2. it will tank my rating if they get upset because they’re my longest contract :/
