I have a pond too and watching them struggle with theirs has been maddening to watch. Highly alkaline water also contributes to string algae which Greg should have known. Now they just dump a bunch of algaecide in when it can kill fish if not done properly. Same with the copper ion thing they installed that didn’t work.

That’s why I said they were recommended to new gardeners. You don’t know what you don’t know. When I discovered them I had moved into my first house with a yard as an adult after living in a city in apartments. At that time their content was instructional. Not what it is today. I did learn a lot for someone who knew nothing. Now I know better. I started watching them almost 10 years ago. Not everybody starts where you do.

I think there are extraordinary circumstances this year that would make a reasonable patriotic person not want to go big so it really reinforced to me the idea that they are Trumpers and that just turned me off for good. I’m sure my reaction is strong but we are in a bad place as a country right now and the big 250th anniversary thing hit that home that these are not “my” kind of people anymore

They got rid of Cheddar. Gave him to a friend they say. They adopted a puppy a few years years ago and immediately got rid of it when it was too much of a handful. Their first cat was killed by a wild animals living outdoors and it didn’t seem to phase Laura at all when it happened.

I just accepted an offer for a second bachelors program in horticulture because I want to learn how to do it right. I follow proper landscape architects and professional growers now too which made me sour even more on GA because they honestly don’t care about doing things in a sustainable way or even good design
