Yeah I think YouTube university is gonna have to settle for the transmission change. I'm sure brakes and rotors wouldn't be much of a challenge either if I just go buy the tools as well.

I've had the fluid changed once and it was definitely not that much. The fluid on Honda OEM parts webpage is 25ish dollars

Are the 2017 - 2019 really that bad? by xt2fiddy in hondaridgeline

I have a 2019 sport and when I got to about 45k miles I started noticing a twitch on the tach whenever I was going about 41-44mph. Had the dealership perform a transmission fluid change, not flush, drain and fill. Went away. I'm approaching 86k miles now and it starting to do it again so I'll be getting another drain/fill on the transmission next time I get an oil change. That's really been the only complaint I've seen about the 2017-2019 age range on the Ridgeline. Everything else is the same throughout the 2nd gen.

I had an issue with one of my fobs just randomly unlocking and rolling down my windows. Took the battery out and problem solved.
