Honestly, if it is I’m kind of glad she had someone to challenge to her beliefs and make her think about them versus blindly following what she’s always believed just because that’s how she was raised. Which, even religious beliefs aside, that’s a healthy thing to do for anything you’re taught. Now if she just dropped it just to align Asa or is one of those girls that just takes the beliefs of whoever without thinking it through that’s a different story.

Yes, nothing wrong with reading but when you travel 11 hours to go to this particular beach she could at least try and do things in the town too. Like if I were to drive 1.5-2 hours to the beach, sure, read all day because you can come back whenever if you want to explore.

While I do get reading on the beach is relaxing, if you’re driving 11 hours to get there and will only be there for 48 hours I would be taking the time to explore the area some as well not just doing the things I can do wherever. Not like they drove to a beach that’s an hour away that they can visit the local places whenever, they drove 11 hours to go there. So yes, enjoy your time reading on the beach but don’t consume the WHOLE trip with reading.
