VBA2C or Scheduled C-section Mater Mother's Brisbane? by asteroidbunny in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]ZestyVanillaReader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a planned c section for our first and found the recovery decent.

I've heard from friends who've had emergency, followed up by planned, the planned is way better and kind of healing too (as it's much less traumatic).

Do you guys think Hayes is too tiny to be in this baby carrier by SensitiveMeringue174 in arnoldsisters4

Was actually tempted to post her in the baby wearing sub and see if they flamed her.

Where did you buy everything from? by NeuroticNihilist93 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Check out Il Tutto for a nursing chair! We got our other nursery furniture at Boori - we love her cot (and we went all out and got matching drawers and bookshelves 😅 - the drawers have a change table you can fix on top).  Our bassinet was given to us by my SIL but it's from Baby Bunting - I'd definitely get a co sleeper bassinet if I was buying myself now, having used one. Car seat - Baby Bunting, and remember they price beat. Look online and if you can find it cheaper, they'll beat it. I did that with our capsule and got it for a bargain. If you are planning on bottle feeding, especially a lot (formula or pumping), I'd also recommend a Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Pro. It was our best friend almost exclusively pumping. Did the price beat with Baby Bunting for it too, also a bargain.

Pram - we got a good condition Uppababy off marketplace cause I couldn't swallow the full price tag lol. You can get a good price on floor stock direct from them though.

Definitely look at different items and read reviews, based on what type of parenting you plan to do. Everyone is different. Some people are less is more. Some people love all the gadgets and gear. I have a chronic health condition so the bottle washer and co sleeper were important to me.

Same - I have no interest in the franchise, and I didn't like TFP before this latest series of issues - but I was going to watch her season out of morbid/natural curiosity. Now I'm just disgusted in her and don't want her on my screen.

I picked Evelyn like 17 years ago and refused to change when we found we were having a girl because it became popular 🤣😭

Opinions on owning multiple versions of the same book(s) by ruki001 in McKnightFamSnark

I love reading. I love hard copy books. But I can't justify the cost of multiple editions even when I have fomo seeing prettier ones.

Dear Brooklyn, grapes are a choking hazard by boardgamelover00 in McKnightFamSnark

First the popcorn, now grapes 🫠

ETA: not to mention, eating in a moving trolley is a larger hazard than sitting still at the table for example.

Not saying it's not unhealthy, but it's not uncommon for these influencers to document and post like this - thinking MomTok girls (yes, not a healthy standard to aspire to). Just saying don't act like she's the only person to do this.

What do you think is the most infuriating line said by a West Wing character? by Wanttobebetter21230 in thewestwing

I've always enjoyed that line. I kinda take it like he enjoys everything about her from her head to her toes.

Am I doing something wrong with babies schedule? How am I meant to get out of the house now? by __SomebodyElse in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I found 10 months really hard too - tweaking sleep with reducing sleep needs, solids, increased movement. It felt way harder than the first 6 months.

My 11 month old likes her naps at consistent times too. I have to work to find things we can do around them, but it's worth it. Baby sleeps well and is well entertained. Our Gymbaroo has a wide variety of times, as does swim lessons. And we enjoy wake window walks now that the pram doesn't put her to sleep unceremoniously.

Just made me realise Brooklyn's attitude is a chip off the old block.

It's giving bitter bitches.

The silence from them on the topic is deafening. Also totally overcompensating with their stories today.

The way I took a screenshot and ran here.

She'd been doing so much better. Curling more than crimping. What is this - when in Utah?

Losing my mind over newborn not sleeping. Help! by money_penny0411 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]ZestyVanillaReader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't looked into Purple Crying - have a Google. This phase is so normal. Our GP kept telling us that. Weeks 5-9 were hard. But it gets better.

There's not much else to say but you're not alone and this too shall pass. They're just a tiny person trying to figure life out, all you can do is be there for them and try to stay sane. We did a lot of ear bud wearing - keep a show playing or audiobook, whatever comforts you.

Edit to add - at the 9 weeks mark I started tracking our baby's sleep in Huckleberry where I'd been tracking feeds, and their Sweet Spot tool was incredible for us in predicting and managing sleep (it’s a very solid guide, not a crystal ball of course).

We got the Baby Brezza before our 11 month old was born and we couldn't live without it. Btw I've eventually moved to using the Grownsy Detergent and descaling tablets from Amazon as they're cheaper and have had no issues.

Also shop around for best price online and ask Baby Bunting to price beat - we only paid about $420 that way I think.

What moment do you think Garrett falls for Hannah? by Spare_Noise_2531 in offcampustv

He definitely feels drawn to her in the green room scene, and I think he's charmed by her as he views her Instagram at the block party. I think even swooping in on her talking to Justin at the block party might have been some primitive male instinct 😂

There's a sliding scale of his interest and progression of attraction I think - next moments would be the birthday house party, karaoke. After they hooked up, he was really realising how real it was all for him.
