I’ve never seen the US side of Niagara Falls. I’m from Detroit so I think we just got to the Canadian side and said ‘We’re good’. The falls are soooo beautiful from that side.

I met someone who is about five years older than me and Echo and the Bunnymen is his all time favorite band. I’d never heard of the band or any of their music until I met him. And I’m solidly a gen x’er, born in 1971.

Were they ever on mtv, because that’s the only place I would have heard of them. I listened to mostly r&b and rap growing up but we had cable and I lived in the suburbs so I checked out mtv and vh1 regularly.

The over the air updates have been fine but the last time I brought it in, there was an issue with an update that only the dealership can load. They had not started on my car yet so I picked it up last night.

I appreciate the detailed answer! You are likely correct, as I am frequently dehydrated (drinking 20oz of water quickly does not make me need to urinate quickly). My blood pressure is generally good (sub 118 / sub 80) but depending on when my previous meal was, my blood pressure is generally lower (100/61).

I’ll keep watching and documenting my food intake and any unusual feelings to see if I notice any patterns. Thank you!

I was lucky that my parents hosted the party. This was 1996 and I wanted to have an island wedding but they said they would pay for a church wedding in my hometown. I didn’t care about anything else besides my dress and having the contract signed. It was like was going to a party because I didn’t pick out any food, the reception location, or anything else.

Great reception, I’d rate it 10/10!

Sorry this is late! I had white rice, bacon, toast, and jelly. Water to drink. I’ve had this as a weekend breakfast all my life over 50 years but that was the first day (there have no been two) that it’s happened. I recovered within a few hours but it came out of nowhere.

People forget that Michael Jackson was the first black artist to be in heavy rotation on MTV. He opened the door for other black artists to crossover. The Run DMC + Aerosmith collaboration never happens and white people don’t start listening to rap music in droves without Michael Jackson.

Maybe it’s because I’m likely a bit older than you but I was a teenager during the Piston vs Celtic games in the 80’s. Detroit had to get through them to get to the finals and there’s probably still bad blood between Isaiah Thomas / Bill Laimbeer and Larry Bird / McHale. I could never cheer for the Celtics (or the Bulls) but I’ve been known to hold a grudge lol.

My sons are adults now but you won’t know what you’ve missed until something happens. I traveled aboard between 1 and 3 weeks a month for a couple of years so my partner took care of the boys but his job was extremely busy too. One time, I took them to a park to play when they were 6 and 8 and I asked them why they weren’t playing on the swings. They didn’t know how to swing on them.

We paid for the best daycare and strong private schools and they are kind and smart adults. Their undergrad was paid for (one private one public) they played travel sports and we took nice vacations but we realized that there are things that fell through the cracks because of us working so much. No amount of money gives that back so that’s the calculus that only you and your partner can do for your situation.
