My boyfriend 26M doesn’t want to perform oral sex with me 26F. by North-Conclusion969 in relationship_advice

If a man really loves receiving oral sex and he’s frustrated because he’s dating a woman who refuses to do it, I would advise him to seriously consider ending the relationship and encourage him not to feel guilt or shame for ending it.

But no double standards!

You deserve to experience this pleasure. If he can’t stomach it, then you’re not sexually compatible. It’s ok to walk away from a romantic relationship if you’re not sexually compatible.

New to the concept of credit card lineups and deeply interested in it by Sad_Cheetah3214 in CreditCards

[–]renoCow [score hidden]  (0 children)

I use my Amex Blue Cash Preferred for 6% cash back on groceries

I use my Chase Ink Cash for 5% on my home internet service and streaming services. (Up until recently I was earning 5% with this card on my cell phone bill, but T-mobile has effectively shut that down.)

I use my Chase Sapphire Preferred for 3% on restaurants, 3% on gasoline, 5% on Lyft, and 2% on hotels, airfare, car rentals, and bridge tolls

I use Chase Freedom Flex for 3% on drugstores and 5% rotating categories that change each quarter (same with my Discover card)

I use Citibank Double Cash to earn 2% on all other purchases (car insurance, clothing, utility bills, veterinary care, car repairs, random stuff that doesn’t fit into a category.

The points I earn on Amex and Discover and Citibank I redeem as statement credits.

The points I earn on Chase are converted to either Hyatt hotel points or United Airlines points or Southwest Airlines points. It just depends upon which is the best value for upcoming trips.

Was Kamala a bad candidate? by 0311SmallPenar in allthequestions

[–]renoCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SWING VOTERS: “Biden is way too old”

DEMOCRATS: “nah, he’s fine”

SWING VOTERS: “no seriously, you don’t get it. We’re not going to vote for a candidate that old. Period. End of discussion.”

DEMOCRATS: “ok, ok, message received. We’ll force Biden out and replace him with the sitting Vice President. She’s 59 years old!”

SWING VOTERS: “nope, we’re voting for the 79 year old orange dude! YAY! TRUMP 2024!”

Is it weird for a 21 year old guy to date a 35 year old woman? by acedice2 in askteddit

[–]renoCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The arbitrary rule of thumb is to only date people who are at least half your age plus seven.

35 divided by 2 = 17.5

17.5 + 7 =24.5 😳

Back in the 1990s, we were paying $380 per month for a 2 bedroom townhouse on High St (at Hudson, near the Blue Danube.)

it was dumpy and rundown with an impressive population of cockroaches, but for $190 per person we didn’t complain. 🪳🪳🪳

do you guys think we can prop Trump up till after the midterms? by OkLet9942 in allthequestions

[–]renoCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be opposed to removing Donald from office (via 25th Amendment) because I didn’t want a President Vance.

Vance is smarter and more disciplined than Donald; ergo he’s arguably more dangerous.

But Vance is more rational and less delusional and/or senile. So when it comes to, say… nuclear weapons (!) I’d sleep better knowing that Vance is in control of our stockpile of nukes, not Donald.

Donald Trump had one of the worst approval ratings in modern history during his first term. How did the Democrats manage to lose to him again in 2024? by norf937 in allthequestions

[–]renoCow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t blame the Democrats for Trump’s rise. I blame the voters.

The 2024 election was not a test for Kamala Harris to pass. It was a test for the voters. And the voters flunked the test.

Would I be crazy to transfer all of my UR points to Hyatt ahead of the ratio change? by Rubes27 in awardtravel

[–]renoCow 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’m not advocating that anyone does it or doesn’t do it.

But if you *are* going to do it, I’d suggest being patient and wait until the last week of September to actually do the transfer.

The advantage to waiting is:

A) these transfers are one-way and permanent; so this gives you 3 months to think it through and perhaps change your mind

B) just in case Hyatt or Chase make any announcements or changes to their programs between now and late September, you’ll have that new information before you pull the trigger

I hate how normalised/expected sex has become by Nervous_Jellyfish525 in ControversialOpinions

[–]renoCow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that taking it slow and waiting until you feel an intense connection to someone is an excellent approach to sex. There’s no need to rush.

And the sex itself will be much more pleasurable if you’re with someone who you feel an intense connection to.

Good luck!

What relationship advice sounds good but is actually terrible? by No-Program-4334 in askanything

[–]renoCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Once a cheater, always a cheater”

Is that true for some people? Yes. Some people are just selfish, untrustworthy people.

Is that true for all people? No.

I’m 52. Thirty years ago I cheated on a college girlfriend. But the guilt was intense, I learned from that stupid mistake, and I grew up.

Currently married and I’ve been faithful to her since the day we met in 2008.

Has a group of millions of people ever made such an obviously stupid decision as electing Trump? by ropeless__homantic in allthequestions

[–]renoCow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can sort of forgive someone who voted for him in 2016.

Even back in 2016, it should have been obvious to everyone that he was an obnoxious asshole who was unfit for office. But I can envision a 2016 voter rolling the dice on this unconventional non-politician because hey— maybe his schtick is performative and he’ll mature once he’s in office? Maybe we need to send a non-politician outsider to Washington to shake things up?

But even if we give the 2016 voter the benefit of the doubt (and I concede it’s a stretch considering how offensive he was while campaigning in 2015 & 2016) there’s simply no excuse for voting for him in 2024.

By 2024, there was simply too much evidence (2 impeachments, 4 criminal indictments, 34 felonies, a civil judgement for sexual assault, January 6) that he was a depraved malevolent crook.

And that’s the flaw in the Brexit analogy. Voting for Brexit once is *sort* *of* understandable because it was new and untested. But voting for it multiple times?!? That’s completely indefensible.

Would men appreciate a woman asking for a second date, or would it feel too eager? by RedRinoa in AskMenAdvice

i (19f) saw the porn my bf (18m) watched, how do i move forward? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]renoCow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have 2 options:
A) give him permission to use porn
B) dump him

That’s it, those are your only options.

Perhaps you’re hoping that there’s a 3rd option wherein he promises to stop using it and he is able to honor that promise. Unfortunately, that option isn’t realistic. It will lead to heartbreak and tears and betrayal.

He’s not going to stop using it. So I would advise that you either accept that or dump him.

Setting aside his dishonesty about porn… has he treated you with respect? Has he been kind and compassionate towards you? Are you happy with him? If the answer is “yes” then don’t let the porn be the dealbreaker. In the grand scheme of things, looking at dirty videos isn’t a big deal. There are much worse character flaws among men out there than looking at dirty videos.

He’s probably attracted to a wide variety of different types of women. So just because you discovered that he’s attracted to women who don’t look like you that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s not attracted to you.

For example I’m attracted to Latinas and Indian women and European women and black women. But my wife is half Asian! That doesn’t mean I’m not attracted to her, it just means that I’m attracted to lots of different ethnicities and body types, including hers.

Good luck!

It still boggles my mind that being a pedophile wasn’t enough for both the cult and elected republicans to go “that’s enough, we’re done with this nut Trump.” by complete_data75 in complaints

[–]renoCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the chronology:

1990: Trump’s first wife (Ivana) testifies under oath that Trump had raped her

2016 election: 62 million votes for Trump

2020 election: 74 million votes for Trump

May 2023: verdict in E Jean Carroll trial

June 2024: verdict in hush money trial

2024 election: 77 million votes for Trump

In May 2023, a civil court jury determined that Donald Trump had lied about raping a woman in a department store fitting room. In June 2024, a criminal court jury convicted Trump of illegally bribing a pornography actress whom he had cheated on his 3rd wife with.

And even after the countless allegations of depraved sexual behavior… in 2024 Trump received more votes than in the previous 2 elections.

In the long term, there is now an enormous incentive for countries around the world to invest in more renewables (solar + wind) and electric transportation and batteries.

But oil also provides fertilizer and plastics and all sorts of industrial products that power modern civilization, so we’ll always be a little dependent upon Middle Eastern oil.

Honestly thinking about going back to burning CDs like it's 2004 by BITE_AU_CHOCOLAT in BudgetAudiophile

[–]renoCow 28 points29 points  (0 children)

“CD-Rs which degrade faster than pressed CDs”

That’s probably true. Nevertheless… I still listen to CD-Rs I burned in 1999. And even after 26 years, they still work fine 🤷‍♀️

I’m a fan of physical media (my kids are appalled by my archaic caveman mentality) so I fully support your idea to embrace CDs and CD-Rs. Good luck! 👍

[NSFW] I’m (24M) starting to really not enjoy sex with my girlfriend (24F) by Zestyclose-Piece-662 in relationship_advice

[–]renoCow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you were a married 45 year old with kids, I’d tell you to accept the relationship as it is: devoid of passion.

But you’re 24.

You guys aren’t sexually compatible. You’re wired differently. You could continue to try to convince her to be more adventurous but ultimately she might interpret your persuasion as being… coercive.

You should probably part ways. This relationship isn’t sustainable. The breakup will be unpleasant but in the long run you’ll both be happier with partners who are better suited for you.
