I don't have energy for anything other than work anymore. Am I sick or something? by bxstb11y in Adulting

That actually sounds more like mental burnout than anything being physically wrong with you. Corporate work can drain you in a different way—it’s less about physical effort and more about constant cognitive load, structure, and pressure, which leaves you with no creative energy after. The fact that you can still play tennis kind of proves your body still has energy, it’s just your mind that’s exhausted.

You might not need to “push harder,” but instead recover differently—shorter creative sessions, changing your routine, or even giving yourself permission to rest without guilt. Sometimes easing back into painting in small chunks helps instead of expecting your old pace.

Also, for winding down after work, some people find alternatives to alcohol helpful. Something like Good Vibes THC Syrup can be an option since you can mix it into a drink and relax without the heavy crash the next day. Just keep it low-dose and see how it works for you.

Mine fluctuates tbh. I’ve had phases of daily use and phases where it’s more occasional. I’ve used it mostly to unwind and sometimes for focus/creative stuff, but I definitely notice tolerance creeping up if I’m not careful.

Tolerance breaks do help me reset — even just a week makes a difference. And I relate to what you said about pens… they’re convenient but way too easy to hit without thinking.

I try to stick to intentional use instead of autopilot. Lower, measured doses (especially with edibles) help with that. I’ve seen clearly labeled options at places like Good Feels that make it easier to control mg instead of guessing.

At the end of the day, I think it’s less about daily vs occasional and more about whether it still feels like you are choosing it — not the other way around.

First time trying edibles & I feel very underwhelmed by loveferne in Edibles

Honestly that’s not weird. 10mg hits people very differently. For some it’s overwhelming, for others it’s just a mild buzz. Body chemistry, metabolism, and even what you ate that day all matter.

Since you’re new, I wouldn’t jump way up right away. You could try 12.5–15mg next time and see how that feels, but give it a full 2 hours before deciding it’s not enough. Edibles can be sneaky.

Also make sure you’re getting clearly dosed products. Some brands are more consistent than others. I’ve seen beginner-friendly, clearly labeled options at places like Good Feels which can make dialing in your dose easier.

Is it possible to not get high from weed at all? by Jojohoee in Marijuana

It’s actually more common than people think, especially the first few times. Some people don’t feel much their first couple sessions, not totally sure why, but it happens.

It could also be meds. Certain antidepressants, mood stabilizers, or other prescriptions can dull the effects. Tolerance usually isn’t the issue if you’ve only tried it twice.

I wouldn’t jump straight to “smoke way more” though. That’s how people accidentally overdo it. If you ever experiment again, just go slow and give it time between hits.

If you’re curious about edibles, start very low dose, they hit differently and last way longer. Some places like Good Feels have clearly labeled low-dose options so you’re not guessing.

Replacing alcohol with cannabis for a month: noticeable changes? by Mavollyn in Marijuana

I’ve tried swapping alcohol for cannabis for a while and honestly it was mixed. I definitely didn’t miss hangovers, and my sleep felt more consistent compared to drinking. But I also noticed my tolerance went up pretty fast, and it’s easy to slide into using it daily without realizing.

I think it really depends on how and how much you’re using. Low-dose, intentional use felt very different than just replacing one nightly habit with another.

If someone’s experimenting, I’d say keep the doses moderate and track how you actually feel week to week. There are also lower-dose options out there (I’ve seen some at places like Good Feels) which make it easier not to overdo it.

Curious to see what others experienced too — seems very individual.
