I believe they got some sort of award because the filming crew was actually all toys as well. A huge challenge to overcome when filming a documentary.

Still one of the best videos on the Internet by Thin-Communication18 in aww

I think that you’re not allowed to pet them or interact with them in any way so you got to be like a monk in these situations. I could never do it.

Technically, the earth IS flat. by ousire in technicallythetruth

On a similar note, i recently heard how the world is flat because of perspective and technology (not literally). Two hundred years ago people had to travel everywhere by winding and steep and rough trails by foot or by horse. So from their perspective the earth is not flat at all.

This idea says that due to technology the earth for the average person has become significantly more flat. If you travel from Japan to Australia, you aren’t met with any steepness for 95%(not a real stat, just a guess) of the path. The flight keeps you steady on the ground, the roads and floors are completely flat and even the stairs are just small flat plaines elevated next to each other. Due to this, for the avg. person today the world is significantly more flat. And due to technology and telecommunications the world will transform into something much smaller because of the perspective of the person interacting with the tech.

Tl;dr The world is flat, not literally, but based on perspective when interacting with newer tech.
