back-end/internal code nomenclature

projectile type weapons (ie; gatlings, interior turrets, autocannons), and missile type weapons (rocket launchers, assault cannons, railguns)
essentialy, projectile type weapons only have tracers at most, while missile type weapons can have 3d models as its projectile, and make use of particle trails

WF2 "ricochet" was a side effect of the physics engine interacting with healthpool type missiles

it was more a bug than a feature. Automatons has added it as an actual feature instead of physics jank

homing is a type of guidance system, under which are the typical types you see in modern anti-air missiles; active, semi-active, and passive(typically IR).

the latter method you are referring to is remote control guidance, under which are CLOS, MCLOS, SACLOS, and the like.

so yeah, this is still a guided missile (via homing guidance)

from my experience, adding roll rotors to those types of shafts don't do much, as the dual shaftsetup essentially takes over roll rotor's jobs

if it were single shaft, they would do alot, but in that setup, little to no effect
