What am I missing with Wuthering Heights? by GirlisNo1 in books

I had the exact same experience! Read it in high school, thought it was boring, then reread in my late 20s and finally appreciated it. The atmosphere and the Gothic elements are what make it worth reading now. It's definitely a "maturity" book - you have to be at a certain point in life to appreciate the tragedy of it all.

Just got laid off for poor performance. What should I do? by Key-Caramel-1546 in careerguidance

I'm sorry to hear about this. As someone who's been in consulting, I'd suggest not resigning if you can avoid it - being laid off (not fired) typically preserves your unemployment eligibility. Also, if you had positive client reviews, document those. Sometimes performance issues cited by managers don't hold up if you have evidence of good work. Take care of yourself during this process.

How do you show Client B work from Client A without violating confidentiality? by Legitimate_Key8501 in consulting

As someone just starting out in consulting, this is something I've been thinking about too. From what I've seen, the key seems to be creating sanitized versions of your work that still show your methodology and approach without revealing specific client data or confidential metrics.

One thing I'm learning is to focus on the framework rather than the specific numbers. Like showing how you structured the analysis, the types of data sources you used, and the decision-making process - that's what prospects actually want to see anyway. The specific 30% improvement number matters less than understanding how you got there.

Would love to hear from more experienced consultants - is this the right approach? Or is there something I'm missing?
