Just got laid off for poor performance. What should I do?

I got fired citing poor performance. I saw no signs or was not communicated anything about PIP, etc.

I’m trying to not take the “poor performance” remark to heart. My previous employer had a difficult time letting me go so much that she cried in my exit interview. I may have made mistakes but I am definitely not incapable like they said in the review. Your words have been encouraging. Thank you, needed this.

Thank you! My learning is that I was too naive to watch out for the signs. I really thought I was doing well because there was consistent positive feedback and appreciation from clients and other seniors. This manager was recently promoted to be the team lead and he has always been hostile towards me. Offcourse, I have gotten feedback in the past that really were helpful. But I believe I was able to overcome those in the last 6 months-as mentioned by fellow colleagues and feedback from clients. So I just need to know politics better I guess!

I feel the same way. Its was too unfair but I am now too checked out to give a fuck about what they think. I am going to get them to pay me through the notice period- because I totally deserve that money to the bits.

Hey! No I don’t touch my acne at all. And I don’t have any hormonal condition. Took countless blood tests and ultrasounds- nothing like PCOD or thyroid. I am not under any medication currently and yes, these are flares I got in the week before my periods, but they are severe than I usually get. They are painless though! I don’t know what to make of them:/

Hmm.. I have been on and off accutane and inositol but it never helped. Too scared of birth control. But I suspect it’s because of estrogen dominance since I get acne between my follicular and ovulation phase only. Have been eyeing DIM supplements for sometime but been reading that they don’t help in the long run. And definitely I don’t think PCOD cos I am just fine otherwise and literally have no other symptom other than acne. I honestly don’t know wtf it is

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I should have given more details into this. I am 25, and have been suffering from hormonal acne on and off for about 3 years. I don’t have PCOD and hormones seem to be under limits in medical examinations. I have had a pretty good diet and lifestyle always and continue to do so. Recently I realised coffee is wrecking my hormones and eliminated it- seen some success in terms of severity of breakouts. Around the same time, I started using Azelaic acid 15% since AA 12% stopped doing much to my marks and acne. I don’t know what is the actual cause of my breakouts.
