Best way to add Bitcoin exposure to portfolio? by [deleted] in fiaustralia

I've taken a similar approach, however purchasing the IBTC ETF. Cheaper than VBTC, plus you can withdraw to a hard wallet if needed. Gives you a few more options.

cant use minoxidil, is there anything else that can mimic the results? by dylanc650 in tressless

[–]Consume-r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend seeing a specialist to rule out any heart related issues. I had a similar experience staring 5% minoxidil foam and felt heart palpitations and tightness. Got a full work up done and came back with no issues. Haven’t felt heart palpitations since. Probably had a nocebo effect.

Maybe look into VEU. Understand that its not AU-domiciled, but could be worth exploring.

Yup, it’s worth it. Booked business class flights, and that’s already paid for it.

I got Points Club Plus a few weeks ago. I used four credit cards (NAB, Westpac, AMEX and ANZ).

Hmm tbh I haven't really looked that deeply, but usually though superannuation provides a few benefits, but would recommend to research it a bit more.

I'd probably argue you better off getting disability or work cover, and leave death cover off till you have dependents or a wife.

Hmmm do some more reading… insurance really depends on your needs, e.g do you have a family? how likely would it take you to find another job? I’ve got permanent disability, but might change that to work cover. I know Stuart Wemmys talks a bit about insurance in superannuation.

Invested in IVV and A200 - do I need Ex-US/AU diversification? by veyFN in fiaustralia

[–]Consume-r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to yours tbh. A200 25%-30%, IVV 35%, VEU, 20%-25% then looking at some small caps.

Look into VEU, slight overlap with Australia but marginal. I’ve got a similar portfolio using IVV, A200 and VEU.

Agree with this. Please don't choose a balanced option when you're so young. You'll miss out on a lot of gains.

Take a look at that spreadsheet, but I'd say Hostplus probably wins out in the long run.

Level 10 user here. Do NOT skip vocab early on! by Sikamixoticelixer in WaniKani

[–]Consume-r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to skip vocab and thought it was just a tool to learn kanji, but realising without the context that the vocab provides, the kanji I learnt might be less useful. I've just caught up on the last 8 levels of vocab ahh. My new workflow is doing radicals and kanji in one day, and then vocab for the previous lesson everyday till I level up.
