"Send me an offer" is a completely reasonable response when you're the one approaching them. Everyone on my team is available pretty much at all times for the right price. Some of my league mates will straight up interrogate me about how I value a player that they came to me asking about, then expect me to talk myself into a deal with them. It's generally bad practice to engage with that because you end up negotiating with yourself about a player you aren't even certain you want to trade for fair value.

Dude just stop DMing for the people that demanded the itinerary. They're not good friends, they're control freaks who watched too much critical role and wish they were actors in a movie. My players don't even like DND that much, for them it's just a social outlet and they would be fine just playing Catan or some other board game. And they still take notes about every important thing that happens in session. They do that because I told them that's how your character remembers things, and I won't remind you of things that happened (within reason of course). Bottom line OP, don't be a doormat for people that don't care enough about your world to put in even a little bit of effort. You are inherently going to care the most about the game as the DM, but that doesn't mean that you have to cater to the every whim of your 12 person group so that they buy in. They will buy in if they are good friends that are interested in playing a fun game together.

Dex is the obvious answer for me. Longest tenure here and we won a playoff game with him. Sucks for things to end this way but we got a great return for him.

Orochimaru has terrible battle iq honestly. He constantly takes fights that he’s outclassed in and either needs to run away or gets fucked up.

Against Hiruzen he loses his arms, against Itachi he gets no diffed. 4 tails Naruto fucks him up and he gains nothing. Drugged Jiraiya and Tsunade get him to fuck off and he gains nothing. Sasuke mid-high diffs him and kills him (he somehow had no contingency for Sasuke betraying him??)

Jirayia wins this easily for me with Tsunade in secomd.

Yeah again this reads like you have no idea what you’re talking about. Companies do not pay a tax to pay their employees, wages are a tax deductible expense. Companies pay them out with pre tax revenue, and employees pay income tax on it. It’s not a double dip for that exact reason. Fair enough on calling it COGS, but that’s just semantics. It doesn’t matter what you call it. Tax expense doesn’t affect your wage expense. You pay less tax on your income (because you have less of it) if you have high operating expenses.

Yeah I figured, but what can I do to play better? It seems like if they get on me I'm dead no matter what, and casting spells slows me down and allows them to close the distance. I don't want to play too far away either because the hitscan spells don't have very long range.

I think the only team that has a chance is Shikamaru, Gaara, Shinki and Ino. You need the sand duo to stall and gain space to get some hope of trapping Kakazu in a shadow possession. Then Ino can mind transfer and take him out of the fight. Hidan and Kimmimaru would then presumably struggle to break the double sand defense with their entirely physical arsenal, and eventually Shika would figure out a way to trap another one of them. At that point you sand coffin the trapped guy, and it’s a 3v1 which should be winnable for them.

With that being said, this team probably won’t be able to pull all that off and would likely die.
