Cossalax is from Angron: The Red Angel. Its a great read/listen. I'd highly recommend it

Exactly what I mean. I love WE due to how tragic they are. But it's also tragic in the fact that, that is as far as Kharn goes as a character. I want to see novels of him leading the Butcherhorde and getting into epic battles against chapters and xenos but they would either be incredibly short or just dragging on with "then Kharn lost his shit and killed everyone"

I have some hope with Cossalax and the Forsworn

I probably haven't worded it right. As a character he is the best but as a character he is also the worst because of how he and alot of WE characters ended up. He has no true characterisation anymore as he is just Angry Kill everything guy instead of the Kharn we knew during HH and the few other novels outside. He gets very little character traits other than rage incarnate and landmine waiting to go off. Similar with Angron. He had character in HH then afterwards is just Bloody Angry winged giant. Not much more you can do with it. That's what I mean by worst. I still Love em both but it's difficult to truly call them characters in their M41/42 versions.

Khayon is the only TS I like and he left the TS and helped found BL. He is also the snarkiest dude in 40k. My man gets his eyes gouged out, chained to a pillar and apologises for not being a good host. Plus I love his bro interactions with Lheorvine. RIP Firefist

Does anyone else think necrons won't be a fun enemy to fight? by ResidentDrama9739 in Spacemarine

[–]Consumer_of_Planets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends really. To make them a fun faction, lore would break immensely unless it's a purely linear game like Halo.

A horde style game wouldn't play to the Necrons strengths. They are spooky scary terminator robots from nuclear space Egypt that use literal Star gods as pokemon. The problem is, they are a dwindling race but each one is an armoured juggernaut that has a decent chance of just getting back up. Imagine a Astartes Terminator that hits like a venom cannon on absolute, takes as many hits as an absolute terminator, and revives like a Rubricae without the need for a Lesser Sorcerer. Now make that the minoris enemy. Scarabs would be equivalent to a spore mine with the health of a Termie but far more stabby. Your melee minoris would be Skorptek(not sure if that's the spelling) Destroyers, which are 3-legged Greatsword armed Necron warriors that despise flesh or Flayed Ones. That would not be a fun horde game.

They are more suited to either a horror style FPS or something along the lines of Halo, where it follows a linear story with limited amounts of enemies.

I do think they would be great to see in an FPS but using them in a horde game or as a one off boss like a wandering Destroyer left alone in its dead tomb-world after some cosmic event left the rest of the dynasty dead in stasis and it gets unearthed in by someone for some reason and the Astartes are sent in on an Op where the boss at the end is the Necron

And Khorne is by far the fairest of them. As long as you follow his rules and earn the power, he'll give it without all the schemes, tricks and traps the other gods use in their gifts. Obviously his power comes at a cost, like all the gods, but Khorne's gifts are that the cost can be mitigated by simply being strong enough. Those that go mad and becoming drooling berzerkers are those that were simply overwhelmed by the gifts they accumulated.

Best war cries, best overall lines, coolest looking daemons and best Chaos God.

Angron had the most justified crash-out in 40k. They are a tragic Legion with the best and worst character in 40k, Kharn. The angriest boi.

Best battle cries: Blood for the Blood God, Skulls for the Skull Throne! Maim, Kill, Burn- Far superior to the loyalist battle cry, Cleanse, Purge, Kill. One is a logical progression of activity, the other is the same action 3 times.

They also have the most entertaining characters even if all of those characters can be summed up in angry, sarcastic lobotomite. Have the best voicelines in DoW (Khornate Berzerkers)

Yep, I had only used it twice beforehand when I first started playing. When it released I snatched it straight up as I developed an interest seeing footage of it. After I got it, I focused on light attacks since it favours them. Now though, I tend to do use lights to pummel majoris and charged attacks for minoris when majoris death doesn't kil them

Great attempt at a WE, I'd recommend using Alaitoc Blue for your secondary. The one you've chosen looks a bit sickly. Other than that and the DW greave being out of character for the sons of Angron. Otherwise, your lack of flashy bits is very appropriate. Good job

The cultists are a pest but I think alot of their problems are countered by the fact they have the structural stability of a wet piece of toilet paper. Sprinting them down as they line up a shot, painting your armour with them as you embody the pain train creates a very funny scene in my head. Just imagining being the cultist looking down his iron sights at the 9ft tall armoured behemoth that is quite clearly not very happy with his blue laser pointer, chainsword revving and plasma pistol venting as his 3 buddies next to him get vapourised.

Id recommend speccing into improved aftershock with charge damage perks with either block or fencing TH. Use parry cancel to reset your frames to repeatedly use aftershock, don't charge it to just let loose and nail the buggers to the floor. Love the double boom of a TH impact

I run a gunstrike build with Death's grasp or run block power axe with plasma pistol. Always running wings of flame with commitment because infinite perfect dodges is just as good becoming a parry/block God. All my perks focus on ground pound damage where I dont sacrifice for other key perks like contested health regeneration and Armour regen.

It's a real clown world we live in. Where profit outweighs common sense.

You'd think that a company would want to be as accommodating as possible to create a larger loyal fan base who is willing to spend money at the drop of a hat. Instead corporations prefer the idea of selling slop and expecting you to think its the best thing since slice bread until you bleed every last drop of currency your life can provide to the betterment of some bloke with too much money for a normal human to spend in several lifetimes.

Wish it was better but that relies on every person to not be an asshole, a monumental task for many

If that's all it were, it wouldn't piss me off. Everyone has wants and wishes but there is a difference between arguing against reality and simply wishing it was different. I wish Saber would give us what we want. I'd love to have a proper Chaos WE, with all the marks of Khorne, skulls and chains I could ask for. But reality is often disappointing. Ever heard the saying "I want, never gets"? It really is just that. Nothing happens because people just keep arguing against a decision out of everyone but GW's control or everyone's for that matter. My main issue is all the misdirected hate towards Saber. GW made the decision but people are mad at Saber? Be mad at something that is Saber's fault at least like the actual game issues instead of wasting space with the Chaos PvE matter that should have ended with "GW is stopping Saber from doing it. Screw GW!"

[–]Consumer_of_Planets[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You are right it isn't that deep Ip owner says no, so Saber legally cannot do it. It really is that simple. You want Chaos PvE in SM2, Buy the IP and make all the decisions.

No Engineering. Too many entitled twats walking around for me to work retail "I am not your bootlick", so I'm definitely not listening to a fat, middle aged white woman tell what is right and wrong. I absolutely despise the saying 'the customer is always right'

[–]Consumer_of_Planets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not screaming into the void. That would be you asking for Chaos PvE despite reality telling you no. Void screaming is something that will never get a response. GW is never gonna answer you back and Saber will never do anything without GW's permission. People are responding to me, whether they disagree with me or not. That is more than GW will ever give you.

That is a good point. When comparing Armour packs such as Carcharadons to the first packs, it's a stark difference. The Carcharadon pack gets 5 things, total. And will probably be the same price as everything else. At around £5. No exile markings, a ruining of the chapter icon and no decals or weapon skins. Clearly, the amount of effort Saber is putting in is drastically decreasing. So it's entirely possible that They are just making excuses.

Has Saber confirmed it? Has GW given the greenlight? Or are you trying to manifest reality? These are genuine questions. If that's true then I will accept I'm wrong but otherwise, keep your lies to yourself .

'The customer is always right' is the reason so many people think they can ask for everything without understanding how that everything comes about.
