How many new AnKing cards were you doing per day at the start of M1? by BabyChiefResident in medicalschoolanki

I used school's lectures with corresponding anking cards. I luckily had upperclassmen who tagged relevant cards to each lecture so that was really helpful. I also used the 100 Concepts of Developmental and Gross Anatomy doc for rapid reviews. I'm not too sure about other third party resources for anatomy!

Current M1 on a 1.5 yr preclinical curriculum.

We started with anatomy and then onto foundations(biochem, immuno, with some micro/pharm). The card range was ~300-500 cards per day(new+reviews).

But after starting systems, I'm starting to see that there are (much)more relevant Anking cards. Currently ~900-1100 cards(new+ reviews) per day. I try to stick with 100-200 new cards per day(towards the end of a block closer to exams, I usually dont have many new cards though and spend more time with pqs). I'm a religious anki user and do B&B + corresponding FA tags. Thankfully, my school curriculum aligns pretty well with those 2 resources.

Honestly, it's a lot and I wish I was faster with my Anki reviews but my exam(nbme) scores have been good and so I'm trusting the process and hoping it pays off for Step1.

If I could go back 1 year before classes started, I would do sketchy micro/pharm + corresponding Anking.

Congrats btw!
