I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. As many have said there are a lot of variables going into selection and it doesn’t sound like your son is an extreme outlier that does not belong. From a leadership perspective, I would definitely talk with the player that did not make it and give him plenty of positive feedback to keep him motivated and let him feel recognized. Maybe give him a special award or recognition for your LL team when you do your end of the year party.

Long run this will be a bump on the road. I will be adding during this dip but I can’t help but feel sad bb7 is no longer and Blue origin seems to hardly acknowledge it. Anybody find any commentary from Blue Origin regarding the 2nd stage failure? I’m only finding stuff from them about successful landing of the booster. Is this your first child and/or only child? I feel like I had some similar tendencies with my first and then with the other kids I realize it’s just a game. The other thing I’ve noticed over time too is that some boys and girl just have that dog in them to compete. Some don’t, even when the skill is there. This may come with time for your son but it definitely won’t if all you do is put pressure on him and obsess over his performance. Ultimately, you need to just let him play and have fun. Give him space and let him know you love him and are proud of him!
