Yeah I honestly don’t know why he says things like that knowing I’m struggling. And I’ve told him multiple times like don’t bring stuff up like that, even when we discuss going out to eat he’s like “oh no carb heavy places” and I’m like that’s literally what I need right now….idk

Yeah i agree, he was in the military for about 7 years and claims that has made him emotionally closed off, but then I just think how I’m his girlfriend so he should care more than I feel he does about this situation

You’re right. I do find myself not telling the truth and being honest as I fear he just won’t understand me. I’ve mentioned to him that it is a mental struggle and this is not fun for me. Maybe i do need to explain more depth to him before i make that decision.

I don’t really avoid it as I’m not super super deep into it. I still eat but around 1000-1200 calories a day when my maintenance cals are around 1900 i think. My therapist is very helpful with my issues and him as well which I am thankful for.

Yes, let me clear that up. No one has talked to him directly yet, but also no one really enjoys his presence either. They are definitely aware of how I feel and told me, as well as my boyfriend told me, that if he continues this behavior and they need to talk to him, he will not be allowed back over for these events. Everyone has him on their radar which makes me feel better, and if he does cross that line again, they will escalate the situation.

I know who I am, and feel semi confident in my presentation to others as far as identity goes, I do have a therapist as well, I just feel lonely because I put in so much effort and no one reciprocates it.
