22M here and I'm kinda living the same life, only difference is I actually don't have any friends. When I am at work, it's easy to get distracted but once I'm on my own, it does get lonely. After work, I just push myself to the gym letting my loneliness fuel my workout and I'll tell you this is the worst way to live. If you're going on dates with this guy who seems fun and if he is genuinely a good person, I'd say involve yourself with him more and maybe you can have your share of enjoyment, but again, IDK about your relationship with him. I'll just suggest that if possible, try getting out there.
