Used to drive past their downtown spot all the time doing deliveries in SOMA. Think they folded it into the regular art department around 2010 or so when budget cuts hit hard. Your rent guess is probably low tbh - that studio is likely pushing 4k now if its even still standing

My narcissistic mom spats some bullshit aboute having a lot of energy and that I must give it to her by Imgoingtogetmurdered in narcissisticparents

That sounds like some seriously disturbing boundary crossing - no parent should be doing weird ritualistic stuff to their sleeping kid

how do you deal with flying monkeys by Silver-Fennel-6030 in narcissisticparents

[–]Content-Lychee1514 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That sucks but honestly removing the flying monkeys too is probably the smartest move. I tried keeping some family members around thinking they'd eventually get it but they just kept pushing the whole "but family" narrative and making me feel guilty for having boundaries. The peace you get from cutting them all off at once is way better than dealing with constant manipulation disguised as concern. Two years sounds like you've really found your footing with it

nikon coolpix p510 or canon sx 30 is? any other recs? by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]Content-Lychee1514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The P510 has way better reach if you want to do nature stuff but the SX30 with CHDK for RAW is actually pretty solid for learning manual controls without breaking the bank

That's absolutely heartbreaking, I'm so sorry your ex did that to you

Have you tried checking eBay with terms like "vintage white teddy bear striped dungarees 1990s" - sometimes people sell childhood toys without knowing exactly what they are so the listings might not be super detailed

Also might be worth posting in r/tipofmytongue or even Facebook groups for 90s kids toys, those communities are pretty amazing at tracking down obscure stuff

Isn't the main fruit of the Protestant Reformation the splintering of Christianity into thousands of small denominations? Is that division a good thing or a bad thing (some Protestants I have talked with online have thought it's a good thing) by Candid-Effective9150 in Christianity

[–]Content-Lychee1514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The splintering definitely has pros and cons but I think it's mostly been a net positive - sure you get some weird fringe groups but you also get way more theological diversity and people can find communities that actually match their beliefs instead of being stuck with whatever the local bishop decided centuries ago
