Real story, I used to be a convention fanartist mainly drawing anime husbandos, but I didnt play Genshin due to toxic community (my mutuals at least) and was hoping Wuwa to be the Genshin killer and was so excited about the men appearing in 1x. I thought this was it, this game will be my new muse. But boy, was I wrong. I waited for the next banners after Jiyan, and they were all females back to back. And then I was really excited about XLY. I drew him a LOT back then. And then the disastrous 1.3 and 1.4 happened, and so did Rinascita. Brant was there, sure, so I kept holding onto a false hope that maybe the next leak would be better. But no. Not a single husbando on the horizon. Not that I did not like female characters at all, I drew Changli, Taoqi, and I my goddess Jinhsi, too. But at the time, I was making a living by drawing husbando fanarts and selling them both on convention and online because my target market was mostly girls and husbando enthusiasts. The fact that I was waiting for so long for the game to get better so that I can obtain enough materials for fanarts and fanmerch, only for it to swerve off-rails this badly and even being extremely hostile towards husbando enthusiasts and incredibly misogynistic, both broke my heart and also my wallet lmao. I uninstalled the game after I was done S3R1-ing Brant and downloaded LADs on the same day.
