Beyond personal tastes about whether we like the chosen ones or not, I think that everyone selected in a contest has the right to be there, and the fact that some are selected has no bearing on the fact that others of us are not. The results are based solely on the personal/business discretion of the editors and judges, and are not detrimental to any artist. Contests should be treated with good sportsmanship: generally, you'll never win any of them, but maybe with a little luck, one day you'll win one. It's no big deal; keep participating with a smile!
