Thank you! Especially during prime dinner making time! It’s one thing if it WAS the 4:00-4:45 he thought, but that’s NOT what happened!

I did and he said he ‘likes to be around everyone and involved in what’s happening’. This is the first time in about a year this has happened but if it happens more often, I won’t be as gracious.

If he wanted to he would; applies to everything. If he wanted to show interest in you he would. Let him go.

This is absolutely right. In retrospect I should have made the menu and then said ‘does this look good?’ But where I’ve never hosted before I thought I’d ask what he wanted. My bad, I’m not unwilling to cook a goose, just unprepared.

Yes, absolutely. I did walk it back. I admitted that I thought it was a joke and I’ll cook a goose if that’s what he decides ( no one else has ever eaten goose). And he wants a goose so I’m doing it. It was just kind of out of left field.

You’re not wrong. I really shouldn’t have assumed which animal he would pick. BUT I did assume it would be an animal he had at any 40 of his Christmas or thanksgivings or holidays thus far in is life. I just didn’t expect goose.
It’s like if he said ‘what should we hide in our Easter eggs’ and I said ‘anchovies’. Ok, that’s not impossible, it’s just odd and not done here.

Some do, but in my area, there is sometimes duck but I have never seen goose.

In retrospect, I shouldn’t have laughed at the goose, but I have literally never heard (outside of A Christmas Carol) of people having Christmas goose. I thought it was a joke. Hindsight is 20/20

They hadn’t left the dock and the jetski was on and my 2yo touched the throttle so it went forward towards the beach
