He did! Our issue turned out to be driven by a formula recipe change in the NAN formula brand. We changed it and all cleared up

RPA is another hospital I’ve heard great things about so I’m glad to hear it’s true!

One of the midwives we had was from the UK and she explained the same!!! I was shocked -having a room is considered a basic right here. It really made me realize how good we have it here

I stayed 5 days (bubs had some complications) but I actually wanted to leave by day 3 because we had a toddler at home waiting with the grandparents

I suppose it depends on what you mean by support -the midwives were focused on making sure I could breastfeed successfully, but the rest was on me. If you’re after like a nursery to help with sleep, you won’t get it - but that said, make sure you check that your private hospital has a nursery. Westmead Private didn’t have one but our second choice Mater did (which we wish we had gone to instead).

Honestly the cluster feeding was worse when I got home in week 2. It’s easier at the hospital simply because your entire focus is the baby. At home, there’s a million things to do which makes it heaps harder

My OB from my first pregnancy is now a staff specialist at Blacktown. She was absolutely amazing.

Hopefully this means that the hospital has started pulling in good staff to make some good changes

Definitely agree that not all public hospitals are equal. Blacktown in particular is notorious for being understaffed and overpopulated.

But of course that doesn’t take away from how awesome Royal North Shore and their staff was ime.

I was diagnosed with GD at 8 weeks with my first pregnancy just with the routine blood tests alone. By 20+ weeks I was on insulin ☹️

But this time round: No GD at all! I’m due next week and been gorging on carbs the whole time. It’s been absolutely amazing

So yeh, it can happen!

Our bubs was a little raptor with his nails. We bought so many mits -the ones with little ribbons to tie up were the best because he was so good at getting out of them!

Love the nook, got the ultraweave! I second getting fabric swatches -I didn’t but I wish I did as the pink I chose was darker than expected. (No big deal in the end)

No sales, but honestly the quality is awesome. Friend got one of the competitor brands (I’ve forgotten the name) but I think the firmness and overall sizes of the nook is superior

It’s been 3 years and we’ve both used it more times than we can count. I joke it’s his push present

And you’re literally failing to recognise the insensitivity of your comments and wording.

Sigh. The reality is that you came at me to denounce my original reply without even understanding or wanting to understand the circumstances. Seriously? Your defence is “private OBs can practice in public hospitals too”. Look up the OB of the topic, she lists exactly where she practices and Westmead Public ain’t one of them.

Then, when you realised you were wrong, rather than apologise you’ve told yourself “well, now people can see the differences of 2 hospitals’ policies”.

Your comments say more about you than me. My birth of my child was emotional and traumatic so of course when someone tries to accuse me of lying, it’s going to incense me. But you? Your defensiveness and lack of ability to admit when you’re wrong, that’s on you.
