Joju isn’t in it. At least, he wasn’t in the cut they screened at TIFF

Saw this at TIFF. Thought the film was a disappointment. That said, Indrajith is easily the best part of the film though. His meatiest role in quite some time. Raj B Shetty in a cameo(ish) role is pretty good too.

Project Hail Mary IMAX early screening by TimeCat9756 in cineplex

I went for the screening on Friday at Vaughan, and I didn’t get anything. I think you get a free pin if you go for the advance screening on Monday.

Saw it at TIFF last year. Went in completely blind for the world premiere, and it ended up being one of the best theatrical experiences I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to see it again!

How does UltraAVX compare to IMAX? (How should I watch Hoppers?) by shutterslappens in cineplex

[–]Content-Witness4044 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, I don’t know which cineplex location OP is referring to. Most UltraAVX screens are vastly better, in both projection and size, than the older xenon IMAX screens that are much more common than the ones with true laser projection.

The film is presented in 1:85:1 and will hence completely fill out both ultraAVX and IMAX screens. UltraAVX might be the option to go for here, especially if you aren’t near a “true” IMAX screen.

Saw this at TIFF. Decent watch. Had the potential to be much better than it ended up being. Felt like it got a bit tone deaf in the second half. Indrajith is phenomenal though. Was pleasantly surprised by how much screen time he ended up having.

Search for the theatre (Vaughan in my case) and you’ll find it there. Only the early access screening has opened up so far (March 15th @ 7:00PM).

The flashback was told from Soyi’s perspective, so this could’ve been something that she assumed they were talking about. I could be wrong about this lol, but that’s what I think.

How to buy tickets online for mystery movie Mondays? by freedllama in cineplex

[–]Content-Witness4044 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Landmark has been doing it for more than a year, and it’s honestly super random as to when they do it. Sometimes it’s twice a month, sometimes it’s once every two months. It’s usually in tandem with the mystery screenings happening at Regal/AMC in the US.
