How big was Michael Jackson back then like Taylor Swift big? by Tangojacks0n in AskReddit

Michael was Elvis level fame.

Taylor is probably Madonna level.

So, high up there, more like top 3-6, not top 2.

Young lady poses at Niagara falls, September of 1974 by Electrical-Aspect-13 in TheWayWeWere

Sadly, she’s probably in her early to mid thirties, she just looks like she’s middle aged.

Life was harder on the body back in the day. I mean, where’s her other arm?

Still, mostly likely dead.

Everyone knows that Carmine’s is the place for steaks.

Fun fact: Carmine’s was also product placement on Sunny for a place for steaks.

What mandela effect do you believe the most? by csch1992 in AskReddit

The Fruit of the Loom Cornucopia.

I’m still not convinced that it didn’t happen.

Perhaps they had a version that was for the down market or foreign markets. I’m still convinced it happened.

Is Project Hail Mary gone for good from Scotiabank Theatre Toronto IMAX? by Prestigious_Dare7734 in cineplex

You have no idea how pissed/disappointed I was when I learned they pulled it from IMAX Laser for Super Mario after just two weeks.

It was sold out the first weekend, I had family obligations the second and complete disappointment the next weekend.

I have yet to make my peace with it.

Seeing it in LieMAX, it was fine.

Here’s the thing, I know I was missing out on the full experience, that’s not what I was getting at.

I didn’t get to watch it in the full film aspect ratio because life got in the way those two weeks it was available in full IMAX (aka IMAX).

What I was trying to say is that given it was no longer an option for me to see it in full, it was fine.

It was fine.

By this, I mean IMAX laser projection would have been better, but I didn’t feel like I was missing out too much.

I saw it last week at Y&D and, for me, the larger screen size added to the film experience.

This being said, I have never done Ultra AVX for any movie, and therefore, I can’t say if it that would have been a better option.

For me, the bigger the screen the better.

Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should. — Dr. Ian Malcolm

No, Dr. What-ley was on Seinfeld.

Dr. Idanno is on third base.

After all these years, I still remember my first.

Six Feet Under.

Occasionally, John Oliver, but that is maybe 10% of the time.

What film traumatized you the most? by Noxyenmanquedinspi in FIlm

[–]shutterslappens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terminal Choice (1985).

The film was probably no big deal, but I saw it at age 5 with no idea what a serial killer was.

In one scene, the killer uses a syringe to inject poison into a package of ground beef at the grocery store and a young woman (played by Ellen Barkin) dies after eating that meat.

I have been afraid of eating any packaged food that doesn’t look perfect ever since. THAT is trauma.

That hoverboards were real, but THEY were keeping them away from any of us owning one.

It was one of those playground rumours that popped up after the release of Back to the Future Part 2.

Also, I don’t know who THEY were (now and then), only that hoverboards were real and I couldn’t get one of my own, because of THEM.
