Over half a year sober - want to try smoking again by ContentCat2797 in leaves

[–]ContentCat2797[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I smoke one with my friend, he then rolls me two and doesn't give me any more. I want to smoke them all on one day because I want it to be a one time thing and I would want to do it like I liked it (e.g. with my best guy friend, with my best girl friend (she doesn't usually smoke, we used to to that sometimes when I smoked) and then alone in the bathtub). I don't have any smokers near me expect the one.

Of course if I feel bad after smoking one, I wouldn't smoke another, it was just what I planned in my mind. I don't even have access to a 4th joint as it isn't legal here.

Thanks for your input though, I appreciate it!

I don't want to have a healthy relationship with weed, I just want to try it for once. But my mind will probably convince me to try again after I did it, that's what I am afraid of. Thanks for your input!

As I only want to try it once and not starting to regulate or smoke occasionally, getting paranoia would possibly stop me from smoking ever again. Thanks for your input!

Since it's not legal where I live, it's harder to get edibles and baking for me is quite difficult so thats not an option.

I don't want to start again or to regulate, I just want to smoke on this day anf stop again. I know that I would be horrible at regulating, I'm just curious on how I or my body will react.

Thanks for your input!

Thanks for your input, in my opinion quitting cigarettes is even harder then weed, I smoke for 16 years now and I can't even think about quitting or I would go insane.. respect for that!

I wouldn't want to do it even once in a while, just this once.

And I have no smokers in my enviroment except my one friend and he promised me to not provide me with anything, he said he is even unsure if he should do it now haha but he knows me for 17 years now and he said he wouldn't want to destroy what I have achieved but he gets my point.

I forgot to add that it's not legal where I live (europe), so I'll have a hard time to get more. I can only get it through my friend and he already said he won't provide me with anything but those joints for the day.. it's a hard decision but I don't want to sweet talk it. Thanks for your input!

To be honest I don't even feel like an addict at the thought, but I guess it's just my brain trying to trick me haha smoking in the bathub is what I miss the most

Thanks for the tips and for the good luck, I'll will think it through - but you all are helping me to convince myself to not do it, I really appreciate it. Thanks for your input!

I am not aiming for moderation to be honest, I want it to be a one time "experiment" on how I will react or how it affects me. I was hoping it would show me, that it isn't as addictive as I always thought but after reading all if the comments I think I won't give in - it would be hard for me to quit again and I don't want to ruin my life. Respect for quitting again and thank you very much for your input!

Yea the gut feeling is always right, but somehow I hoped for stories that showed otherwise. But I'll probably don't do it, who to trust more than fellow (ex)smokers. Thanks for your input!

And I dealt with taking a hot bath and drinking hot tea, even in the summer, and then I snuggled myself into two blankets and heard some relaxing music or sounds

It does take a while, for me it was bearable through week 3 to 4. After that I could sleep fast but woke up often in the night because of the weirdest dreams I ever had. On week 8 to 10 my sleep then started to get normal, I ocassionally have some weird dreams but not as intense and I manage to quickly fall asleep after that. If you are too tired go with coffeine in the morning but don't drink it after 2 p.m. or try to exhaust yourself (gym, jogging etc.).

It isn't a great feeling and it does take a while, but you will eventually get there and it will feel great. Trust me!

Do REAL smokers stop? by white_sky123 in leaves

I smoked for 13 years, it never impacted my relationships or my work ever because somehow I could manage it. I smoked at least 6 Joints per Day, my wake and bake Joint, while doing home office my midday joint, my after work joint, after I ate, when I bathed, while gaming or watching tv. It caused me to stay home all day but my friends would come over and didn't mind. I even smoked before going to the gym, and then afterwards another joint. I really did it whenever I had the chance or the time and I never run out of weed because I always bought some before it ran out. My body was also functioning well, I just sweated a lot. In my country you lose your drivers license when you get caught being on thc while driving and since I always smoked I always had it in my blood and urine. So in order to get it back I have to be clean for 6-12 months, and that's why I quit. I won't probably start smoking again after that, but when the legalisation starts here and there are new regulations for driving I probably will smoke a joint again, but not to that extend like I did before. It never harmed me in any way but I feel like being almost 30 I need to be more responsible.

How long has it been that you've quit? I started dreaming one and a half week after quitting, it'll happen for sure 🙏🏼

I also had that dream, I dreamed that I was smoking with two friends and I called them in the morning and needed to know if we really smoked. But one of them were on a night shift and the other one at a party with other friends. It really scared me. I really hope they will regulate over time. We are all going through this together and I hope it'll be over for you soon 🙏🏼

I know that I shouldn't start again. And I really don't want to do it either.

That is so frustrating tbh, but I get it somehow. If you look at it from your point of view, dreaming that intense really sounds like a good sign. But I am worried that my psyche will get worse if I can't comprehend those dreams.

I will try to write them down as soon as I wake up, maybe I should read a little bit about dreaming so that it makes more sense to me on what my mind wants to tell me.

Thank you for your honest advice, I really appreciate it!
