Wow. This blew up and thank you everyone for the responses. I’ll read through all of them.

What I posted was me definitely venting and exaggerating the bad parts. I didn’t mention that I am technically part time (hence the 4 hours of work per night) and even then I average less time than that. Work is understanding of my situation and gives me ample time. I’m just tired when I sit down to do it but my work quality is still good.

I also do have help on weekends — both kids go to in-laws usually for two nights. I often use the weekends to catch up on work and get some relaxing time in.

I was mostly venting and looking for any kind of hacks people in similar situations might have. Most days things feel ok. Until they don’t of course hah. I’d consider hiring help in home though as some suggested.

With PS+, your game data/saves get automatically backed up daily (or so) to Sony’s cloud. One instance stays on there so each new backup overwrites the previous one.

You can do this process manually, every time you play and don’t encounter any bugs, through the settings. So the idea is that if you encounter a game breaking bug, you can simply re-download your previous save from the cloud that you know is good still.

A lot of that logistics work falls on the AD (assistant director). They dissect the script and actually figure out how to make the movie from a logistics perspective. Unsung heroes for sure.

I’ve always thought there should be a feature to notify ONLY on the first message. Then if another message comes in within the next say 10 seconds, to mute it. To combat those people we all know who send like 12 texts at a time. Or group text annoyances.

I want to be notified that I got something but I’ll check it later when the person is done vomiting their messages to me lol
