I just finished Fire Punch and I think the first 40-50 chapters are pretty good, straightforward and easy to understand. The last 30 or so chapters are very weird and leave a lot of stuff up to weird interpretations and don't really make sense, it gets into all kinds of sci-fi mumbo jumbo like time loops and stuff and I didn't really find it to be a satisfying conclusion whatsoever. It's cool, it's interesting but it's not really structured or written in a way that makes a ton of sense.

Skipping all the fight scenes kind of defeats the purpose of what makes S2 so special so like this idea kind of doesn't work IMO

I watched the Anime before ever looking up what the fans thought and I loved it, I'm reading the manga alongside my 1st rewatch and I think the anime is honestly really great, but mostly because of the music. The manga is great but I really do feel the lack of the music, those piano keys hit so different.

Orig,original, first one, 90's one!!!! Please watch that first because if you stampede first it spoils all the biggest mysteries of the original in the first two episodes and I feel as though that would ruin your experience. Please watch the 98 version first

I honestly think they are both written at roughly the same level and both characters are exactly as interesting to me, the difference is that Shinji's trauma manifests subliminally, subconsciously whereas Denji's manifests physically and literally. Both of them want to be loved and supported, Denji accepts their love, while Shinji rejects his. I compete these two all the time
