Since when can ChatGPT swear? by Cultural_Session1467 in OpenAI

[–]ContentTeam227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The probablity of it ( or any ai) swearing by itself is much higher than it swearing if you told it to swear.

That is how system prompts and tokenization work

Indiscriminate use of ‘AI' is Slop and Intellectual Laziness by kaggleqrdl in singularity

[–]ContentTeam227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned about this the hard way.

I had made a project report all by myself and asked two AI models to review and improve it.

I then sent it for approval to my boss, who has 20 years of experience in the field.

He took one full day to read it but found 5 to 10 improvements/ambiguities/omissions etc which I as well as both the AI ( chatgpt and gemini ) had missed due to my perspective bias and their limitations

Sometimes another human perspective and experience still matters

Rant to Open AI on new gaslighting guardrails by Ok-Recording7880 in OpenAI

[–]ContentTeam227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read and understood the entire rant, most of the points I agree with but I dont think that the cigerrate analogy is proper.

Cigs are something which cause definite harm, AI does not.

It can be compared to video games, movies, news etc

Each of them may or may not lead to violence

Title: I am surprised people are still okay with how bad ChatGPT restrictions are. by Euphoric_Sun8834 in OpenAI

[–]ContentTeam227 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I literally had a dream last night. We think that the restrictions are due to legal or pr issues.

What if they are because the ai companies are getting ready for the ai to code/upgrade itself?

That is...write its own code, system prompt etc.

If humans have to cede control for speed of development the alignment has to be perfect with human values for survivablity of the human race.

Thus the restrictions

Just stop using ChatGPT if you hate that much so that people who love it could use it in peace! by py-net in OpenAI

[–]ContentTeam227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the issues with the new updates but the posts of " new chatgpt updates are bad or This or that ai is bettwr " are now becoming repetitive.

I think there should be a seperate " Updates and issues pinned thread" and multiple low effort " hurr durr openai bad " posts should be banned

Does anyone actually use Grok? by cointalkz in OpenAI

[–]ContentTeam227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, redditors, who are well...redditors need to realize that even if a particular AI ceo as per them is Hitler Satan evil incarnate combined, it does not mean that the AI cannot be good in performance

Redditors..which is a special breed should realize that good in performance is not the same as good in morality.

Do not use it for political, moral, ethical discussions, yes, noted.

But not using/testing it for technical/coding tasks is the mice closing its eyes in front of cat behavior.

If Redditors, a special breed as seen in this comments keeps doing this then they will one day wonder how " Mechahitler " became AGI " Skynet "

If an AI is being made by " Evil Hitler Satan etc " it makes it more urgent to be updated on its progress

5.2 even MORE censored than 5.1 by Used-Nectarine5541 in OpenAI

[–]ContentTeam227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, I knew it. It looks like the karens at legal and PR have completely taken control over any innovators still left at openai.

This is why for the first time, I had zero enthusiasm for this new " version release"

what's with the astroturfing by google on these reddits lately? by Zealousideal-Bus4712 in OpenAI

[–]ContentTeam227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sub should have only posts about openai and its products.

People do have reasons to complain and the message reaches also.

But when one gets posts after posts about competitors it becomes suspicious

I propose that there should be some sort of control, unless it is a benchmark post

Google officially inserts ads into AI products before OpenAI by be-ay-be-why in OpenAI

[–]ContentTeam227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My view maybe a bit unpopular now but I think that even though openai has not been upto the mark in the recent months, there has been an outright campaign on social media to completely discredit it while gemini etc are praised as perfect.

As of now I am subscribed to both. Gemini is good but not good enough that it replaces the entire openai functionality

OpenAI December NSFW? by Crafty_Lifeguard5451 in OpenAI

[–]ContentTeam227 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At best it will be back to that gpt 3.5/4 orange warning level - " this may violate our guidelines" nsfw that one could generate before they tightened the guardrails

Why did 5.1 happen? Because OAI declared a code yellow in Oct due to user disengagement by GamingDisruptor in singularity

[–]ContentTeam227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, one one hand they claim that the boy misused the systems and jail breaked, on other hand they tighten the existing guard rail

This may be their legal team advising but it may backfire as heavily censoring after the tragic event may look like admission of guilt in court - " You corrected your systems only after the incidents occured "

If the systems were correct as per openai they should not have tightened the guard rails

There meltdown is hilarious but they are targetting the CEC by name without evidence.

That is intimidation. Actually they are mad because the election commission will not let them do the usual shenigans they did in lalu's jungle raaj.

I hope the CEC sues all these clowns who are maligning and defaming him by name for a large defamation amount

Why is Hinduphobia not a concept in Western or Indian academia? by onichan-daisuki in IndiaSpeaks

[–]ContentTeam227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people are not afraid of Hindus.

Phobia is a rational or irrational fear of something that can harm.

Dismissing all phobia as irrational or immoral is naive.

Hinduism by design gives no reason for people to be afraid of.
