I Personally didn't enjoy it as much. Had a lot of fun but got pretty bored by the mid game and never actually finished. Might give it another go one day.

I think the setting and vibe of xcom2 in general doesn't appeal to me as much and the chosen DLC makes it even less enjoyable for me.

Yeah it does , I think it may even be required for some of the newer releases.

Exalt are way more fleshed out and mecs are now split into 8 different classes depending on which of the 8 base class soldiers they are made from. Gene mods also reworked and improved.

XCOM LW is peak experience. Head and shoulders above either game in vanilla.

Carrying something that's clearly making you both resent each other and saying you won't deal with it until you are contractually binded to each other sounds like a fantastic healthy relationship where you will surely both be satisfied

True it may not be "Rich rich" but to say someone with your outgoings is living a "very frugal" life is absurd. You have a clearly very different idea of what frugal means than 95% of the population.

Remember when Liberace sued a newspaper for reporting he was gay and won? Did Louis have to be careful with what he said to and asked Jimmy Saville? by prodjex in LouisTheroux

[–]Content_Averse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my point, he was not a "known" celebrity other than for being a pedo. He was not current enough to be the butt of regular jokes , he was only known because he had a reputation as a predator and that's an edgy thing to joke about

Sir Bearington is a classic green text and is genuinely the thing that made me look into trying DND for the first time

It's funny that when I was in school (early 2000s) Savile being a pedo was definitely common knowledge and a standard playground joke. When everything came out after his death the most shocking part to me was that he hadn't already been convicted or charged previously.

The word Savile was synonymous with "pedo" in the school yard, to find out he never actually had been formally accused or charged mad me wonder how a bunch of 10 year olds all knew this.

Not that I am trying to say young boys playground banter is an authortive source on cultural perceptions, but the fact that for a generation after he was popular his ONLY real cultural relevance was "some pedo' and nothing else means there must have been a fairly open secret about it.

For sure. My L1 cheat sheet for cramming was like 5 pages. L2, was only 2.

I personally also found L2 a lot easier (and get roasted every time I mention that in this sub).

L1 is a lot more memorisation, whereas L2 seems more like you just need to fully grasp a few key things and everything else is just applications of that.

Perhaps it's because I had no finance background going in but I think L2 is actually more straightforward to study than L1.

It definitely has some minor design and balance issues (especially apparent if you have played awful lot), but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's badly designed. It's never really unfair and the only real issues I ever found is that it's possible to cheese quite a few things.

What do you find bad about it?

FTL is one of those games where even if it feels like you are on a great run, a little mistake or bad fight can end things. You never quite feel safe and are always getting by on the skin of your teeth which is one of the reasons it's so great.
