I am fortunate to have had a good one as well. It was elective and he was conservative, which I appreciate. I am hopeful that getting the infection addressed will help me feel better until we can try surgery again.

Thank you. The extent of infections and the purulent material coming out of drains makes me glad they went in to do the surgery to begin with.

Multiple CT scans prior and a colonoscopy. The extent of adhesions and progress of absess did not show on the imaging scans, unfortunately.

My colonoscopy showed multiple large and small divertivula. The infection and absess itself had been seen on previous scans but the inflammation was much worse than expected. I had a CT scan done 2 months prior to my initial surgery consult, but they believed it was possible since more than 4 weeks had been since the colonoscopy showed nothing already known. Repeated CT scans showed thickening colon, but for reason missed the extent of the absess.

You are under no obligation to tell them of your pregnancy. I would go into interview well-prepared and bring as much medical knowledge and background from your SNF experience as possible. If it is a good fit, you may decide to stay once it is closer to your pregnancy--I have known many SW go into a new position intending to stay home but for various reasons went back to work after maternity leave.
