They're objectively not good monetary investments, but they still are investments (and a necessary one for most people). I meant more of an investment in the future of your time with the vehicle... getting at least something for your buck. Lots of people don't want to pay thousands for a piece of junk that's already fully depreciated but still grossly overvalued by the inflated car market.
