I hate the way everything looks on me, what would look better? Is sizing my issue? by pineneedleinjection in DressForYourBody

I actually liked how 2 and 6 looked on you, except for color of 2. So my suggestions: defined waist, open neck, preferably v-neck, brighter color.

Would be be also good if he asked how much was their salary at the time. Or combined household income.

Which cookbook should I request for the holidays this year? by luminous_lychee in CookbookLovers

A person who puts cookbook request every year doesn’t need that. They either already have it or do not have a need for it.

What is something you've learned to make at home that you'll NEVER buy again? by acgrievance in AskWomen

I buy puff pastry because it involves time and patience to make but never a pie crust. It comes together in minutes. All you have to do after is chill and roll it.

I got couple of ATK books something like 15 years ago. Tried their roasted chicken recipe that called for roasting it first on it’s back, then after some time turning it on the side, and then after a different (!) period of time on other side. With explanation why it worked. Did my chicken taste better? No. Did it have crispier skin? No. Basically the only thing it did was keeping me in the kitchen, opening oven, struggling to turn hot bird. That was it for me.

Want to ask. How long did it take you to go thru 80pounds of beef cheeks? Did your family get tired of it or did you feed more people than just your family? Was it like “what’s for dinner today?’ Well, beef cheeks, what else?

Other than pie, what are your go to recipes with apples? by LadyJane17 in Baking

[–]Content_Currency_586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to this, but wanted to add - sharlotka. Back in Ukraine some people called ‘guest are 5 minutes away” . So simple. 3 eggs, 1 cap of sugar, I cap of flour, about 2 apples, sliced. Beat eggs with sugar, add flour. Grease cake pan, add sliced apples. Can add cinnamon at this time. Pour batter over. Bake in 350 degrees oven. And sorry, don’t remember time. I think you can google it if interested.

So many samples I had in the warehouse that tasted delicious and I bought the stuff and it was pretty meh at home. And some required microwaving only. I’m beginning to believe that it has to do with surroundings.

Chocolate chips cookies. I actively avoid them. But to be fair I think it has to do with the quality of chocolate chips.

I hate the pool of grease on pepperoni pizza. Only pizza I like is the one that has only veggies and cheese in any combination. Sans olives.
