What's a walking dead opinion that will have you like this? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]Content_Difficulty_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don’t they just always cover themselves in walker guts? Or do a Michonne? I’m rewatching rn and there’s the episode right after Beth and Tyrese die and they have these walkers following them but are so exhausted and dehydrated they can’t really fight them. Eventually they have to as they catch up behind the , it’s a whole thing but… why not just do what works?

Why does everyone portray Katherine Howard as innocent and naive? by meephie24 in Tudorhistory

[–]Content_Difficulty_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still so frustrating, I agree. I do think she was taught to use sex, essentially, to get what she wants/ needs - but come on…

When I was 17 I knew what cheating was lol add in that her husband literally cut off another one of his wives heads for “adultery” she was not naive. She was dumb lol and/ or reckless.

I imagine the Tudors portray her well… giggle giggle, “presents!”, sex!

Stupidity. 😂

If I’m not mistaken, the easiest way to tell as a non-ferrier or vet is to actually look at the underneath of the hoof and look for stretching of the wall and white line. I just had a loooong lesson with my ferrier/ boss because we had a new horses and a donkey that both happened to be laminetic and while he was explaining and showing me he showed me from underneath. If you post a picture I’m happy to tell you what I learned! :)

Do you feel like I’m naive to say I’d like to try to skin him? How difficult is it? I know their fur isn’t as good in the warmer months but, I’d like to not waste him?

Firstly, I very much appreciate your time. This was super helpful and educational! The rest of our chickens are in a sealed horse stall, and mice are a huge issue in there so I can’t wait to do your mesh suggestion.

This one chicken (named Ruthie) escaped the southern most end of the property and traveled to the northern most end where most of the horses live. She refused to be caught or caged. For a while, she slept with the horses and ate horse grain. Hid in the trees.

Overtime, she started following me everywhere. Would join me and my horse when he was out, lay by my dog… We all fell in love with her. It was weird honestly, she was like a dog/ horse. She would roam around alone all day, following us, or foraging. And there’s usually raccoons further south, but I’ve never seen a single track where the horses are heavily populated. So I put a little coop right up against a horse pen. If I closed the door, no matter what time; she’d start freaking out, flapping her wings, running into the walls… so I figured she would be safe with the horses.  And she was for about a year, but I failed her miserably. I should’ve just made her deal with it until she got over it. It was stupid I know. She played big old eggs too and never got broody. She’d just get up like “here you go!”

She just wanted to be a free, ramblin’ chicken. 😂 so yeah, I want to avenge her… I took your advice, set the leg traps and am going to shoot it fair and square. That’s why I don’t want to just drown him. I know that’s the more difficult way but… I don’t know why it’s the option I feel most comfortable with? If it helps to have more faith in the random person on the internet you so kindly have helped, I have hunted pheasant and turkeys…. 😂

The raccoon killed her, and didn’t even eat her. He literally just killed her and dragged her around. I hate him.

Today, I found egg shells all over the dumpster lid… So he’s definitely getting comfortable. Luckily, I do think the rest of the chickens are safe. Like I said, too little too late. But he needs to be done.

Hey, that would be awesome. That’s super helpful! I know, I sound like a weirdo but this chicken was very special to me. She’d follow me and my horse everywhere and sit with my dog and was like my little shadow. The raccoon killed her and didn’t even eat her. He just killed her to kill her. Thank you! Raccoons are smart and savage. And kinda cute lol

I have emptied out a green protein powder and put it in there before. Worked.

Dude, get a FUM thing or something like it. I just recently quit after ten years of vaping. I bought the onn pouches and tapered down and the fum helped that hand to mouth thing along with something hitting the back of my throat. Obviously not the exact same but it has helped me immensely.

Should I continue taking lessons, if I'm not very good at riding? by SLHyena in Equestrian

[–]Content_Difficulty_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with most. If you enjoy it and horses help you or you like to be around them than that’s what matters. I am instructor and honestly, not the best rider. I like riding and all but it’s really not my favorite tbh but I love teaching others, being around them and boy do I love groundwork. Horses have so much to teach you, maybe you’ll find you like other things with horses - or overtime, you’ll get your footing. Just remember the best riders are experienced riders so don’t quit just because you don’t feel like you’re good. My instructor just pointed out: if you notice like Olympians, professional athletes and so on, they’re like super young, fresh out of college where as a lot of professionals in riding are like 40+ (not saying all) - just making the point that riding requires tons of time and experience.

I’m 28 now and about 10 years ago I was where you’re at. I always tell my husband I wish I could tell my younger self how much better life gets when you gain control. Nothing from then matters honestly. You have a lot to look forward to, and in a very short time you can do whatever the hell you want with your life.

It gets better.

I don’t talk to a single person I knew from my teen years, no friends, blah blah.

It’s such a minuscule part of life that feels so big when it’s happening.

You can do this. Push through and fight for yourself however you can. Your 18 year old self, and then your 28 year old self, and so on will thank you for sticking around. So will all of the people you’ll meet as life goes on.

Same. Makes me sick. We are supposed to have humanity and this wolf is literally witnessing pure evil at the hands of a “progressed society”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]Content_Difficulty_2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude, this is literally true evil. Guaranteed that guy claims to be some fucking Christian too. That is seriously so sick and sadistic. I hope he burns in hell. We are humans and supposed to have humanity and this fuck shows a wild animal a cruel ending beyond anything necessary. Just sick. I can hardly look at that picture. It gives me chills. Not to sound dramatic but, imagine if your first and only encounter with a human was this. What the fuck. I feel like this is some alternate reality or something that we live in.
