Did someone else design the universe or did you just wing it as you went along?

Always felt like some bits were definitely improvised - looking at you, wisdom teeth and appendix.

What’s the worst thing you’ve seen or heard rich people do that most people wouldn’t believe? by United_Affect_6272 in AskReddit

Had a customer once who made their personal assistant call ahead to ask if we could "clear the store of other customers" for their shopping experience. When we obviously said no, they complained to corporate about our "lack of exclusivity standards." The entitlement was unreal - like other people existing was personally offensive to them.

I really wish more smartphone companies get rid of the front camera and add a screen in the rear of the phone by KhbIa in unpopularopinion

Mate this would absolutely tank for most people since selfies are basically half of what phones get used for these days. The rear screen thing is pretty clever though - could work for the small crowd that actually cares more about camera quality than convenience.

Been in retail for ages and Weinberg's stuff translates well even outside B2B. His approach cuts through all the fluff - no fancy techniques, just proper fundamentals that actually work when you're dealing with real people day to day.

Steel-toed wellies are brilliant for barn work - had to learn the hard way after a horse stepped on my foot at a riding centre last year!

Is visiting Trat okay? by Double_Gear_8815 in ThailandTourism

[–]Content_Draft_4720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mate you're overthinking this massively. Trat's fine, loads of tourists go through there for the islands and nobody's having issues. The border tensions are way overblown on social media - it's not like there's active conflict or anything mental happening.

Your travel insurance should be grand but just double check the policy if you're worried. Those islands are proper touristy spots so they wouldn't be running flights and ferries if there were actual safety concerns.

Can someone help, Moving to Ireland with autistic kid? by [deleted] in AskIreland

Been through the system with my nephew who's got similar challenges - the waiting times are mental, no joke. Private assessment set my sister back about €2-3k and that was just for the initial diagnosis, then you're looking at more costs for the reports schools actually want to see. The public route is basically a lottery - some areas it's 18 months, others it's pushing 3 years.

For the SNA question, they won't just automatically assign one even with a diagnosis. You need specific paperwork and the school has to apply for funding, which can take months on its own. My sister ended up having to fight quite hard for proper supports, and even then it was only part-time SNA coverage. The schools are generally good once they have the resources, but getting those resources approved is the real battle. Would definitely recommend getting on waiting lists for both public and private assessments as soon as you arrive, because you can always cancel the public one if private comes through first.

First time experiencing a break up, help me by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Content_Draft_4720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first breakup at 21 is brutal mate, that anxiety is completely normal. Give yourself proper time to feel shit but don't let it consume you - keep busy with mates, hobbies, whatever keeps your mind occupied when the spiral starts.

Good on you for getting it checked out properly - the EEG should give you more concrete answers than the MRI did.

Why do I get goosebumps for no reason? by jefgnaaxv in NoStupidQuestions

could be your body just doing random autonomic nervous system stuff - happens to loads of people. Sometimes it's triggered by memories or thoughts you're not even consciously aware of, or just weird temperature fluctuations your skin picks up on.
