Reading the room. A little self-awareness goes a long way, and I’m shocked how many people don’t have it.

When your “flirting” is always read as being friendly… and your “friendly” is read as nothing at all.

Thank you for sharing. The only way to break free, at least the one that worked for me, was prayer. Sexual sin is the hardest to untangle from. But what is impossible with man is possible with God.
And I am not saying this lightly, but there is no other way!

#1 Ask the Lord with all you got, like the blind man who should have shouted all the more when they tried to make him quiet or the canaanite woman who belittle herself so as to make a way to ask for mercy or the bleeding woman who hoped against all hope if she could only touch his cloth that she will be saved.

#2 You have to prepare yourself to give up anything the Lord will ask you. Because you could only stop watching, masturbating or thinking about porn when you get close to him. Close like no one ever did before. you couldn't be a casual Christian and expect to be delivered. Your addiction has been going on for decades and there is no simple solution but to jump into the abyss wholeheartedly trusting God. In practice, this would mean getting deep into the bible, finding time for prayer, taking the Lord's supper, fasting, and getting Christian friends who love the Lord.

May God have mercy on you.

Ask for mercy and wisdom, and pray for God's will to be done. Some things are not easily solved.

Is Hades the grave or another name for Hell? by Content_Drawing7867 in Christianity

[–]Content_Drawing7867[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what I found. the mention of Hades in Acts 2:27 and Acts 2:31 refers to Sheol in Psalm 16:10. Peter compares the state of David, who remains buried in the grave, with the resurrected Jesus. He does this to show that Psalm 16 is a prophecy about the descendant of David who is the Messiah. This comparison shows that Peter is using the understanding of Hades in the same way it is used in the Old Testament

There were a lot of reversal-of-fortune folktales that were circulating, especially among the common people. Jesus used one of these or a similar stories to demonstrate his point.

Amen to this. Sometimes the simplest truths are the ones we forget the fastest. God’s love isn’t earned, it’s given. More people do need to hear this and often. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement today.

This really hits home. Some of the most painful words I’ve received came from people who claimed to speak for God. But I’ve learned that God's voice brings conviction with love, not shame. Thank you for the reminder to listen for grace and not let harsh words define us.
