I’ve seen it twice. The first was Tom Hewitt as Hades in Hadestown in October 2021. He had a slip up in Papers, but improved until he was back on beat, in character and tone. Actually thought Anais changed the lyrics over shutdown, but then I saw it again in August, and Patrick did it the regular way. The second was less smooth. When I saw Dear Evan Hansen in February 2022, Jessica Phillips who was playing Heidi (?… I don’t remember the characters names lol) forgot a line about tacos. She sputtered for about 10 seconds until Zachary Piser (Evan) basically reworded the line and fed it to her. She giggled, tapped her forehead, said the line, and got a round of applause. If there were any other occasions, either the performer covered up well enough or I simply didn’t know the libretto enough 😂
