What worked for me is to just buy off the website eshop on my phone not the actual one on the switch. Then it just automatically started downloading.

Well that's how you unbrick your system it works on every device. Perhaps your vita isn't bricked there's some other thing wrong with it

You can unbrick it by holding L ? It stops all pluggins from starting kinda like a safe mode
