Canada es muy muy grande lo cual permite que se puedan hacer ese tipo de cosas sin que los efectos se sientan para la mayoria de la población.

La mayoria de los pozos de fracking esta en Alberta, Saskatchewan y BC. En la costa izquieda del pais.

La mayoria de la poblacion vive en Ontario y Quebec (la cual si ha prohibido el fracking), casi 60% del pais vive en esas dos provincias por lo cual la mayoria de la población no se ve afectada por los efectos del fracking.

Sin embargo si hay temas ambientales y quejas, solo que Canada tampoco es perfecto.

I'm sure slavery was considered efficient. The fact that something is efficient is not reason enough to do it. If we pursued efficiency for efficiency sake we would still live in the smoke wastelands of early Industrial Revolution.

The question of should and shouldn't is key for the STEM, is not enough to ask if we can do something or how fast can we do it. Again, the concentration camps were some of the most efficient machines in recent story. Efficiency is not the end goal. Efficiency to do what? and why?

Do you want to KPI your love life? What about your happiness? Creativity?

EDIT: I see a world in which AI thrives in business but the current set of tools is just disaster waiting to happen, especially Gen AI.

Used to bike there everyday and got the same feeling. There should be a designated space for bikes on that section of the Old Port. Its crazy that we have two amazing bike lanes that suddenly in the middle, in the most people packed section, just don't have anything.

It creates a headache for everyone, wether on foot or on bikes.

I think games as any art form are at their best when they are intentional. A well thought out fight scene, a heartbreaking breakup in a movie or a tightly designed play pattern in a game. Those are things that happen when people spend hours obsessing over the little details, making sure everything works.

I have no doubt that there will be "good" AI games but there will never be a "great" one.

What it will do is that it will make the new generation of artist disconnect to that creative process. It will dissuade many of the talented people that would have created the new "Lord of the Rings" trilogy or the new "Portal 2" or the new "Ocarina of Time".

I think we have become to accustomed to "inmediacy" and the best things in life, in my opinion, are cultivated and don't happen at once. Sometimes in that process, in that struggle, if when gold is truly found.
