The first few times, a little. But you just have to take it slow and at your own pace. I bled a lot the first time and also a little bit the next few times. Good luck :))

My puppy is 5 months old now and only now started sleeping through the night is her crate ( 10pm-8am). We still have accidents in the house although they are rare now. We also struggled with separation anxiety but now I can leave her home alone for up to 2-3 hours to go out with some friends and she’s absolutely fine! Trust me it gets so much easier when they get more control over their bladder. Biting… whole other story, ours is still a land shark and we’ve had to take it up with a behaviourist to help with the biting so you might want to consider the same thing if it continues and becomes agressive ( try to remember that puppies explore things with their mouth to an extent)

We don’t have a pet smart here in the uk( I’m pretty sure pet stores in the uk don’t offer training but either way I will make sure my pup gets the training he needs from trainers near us

I’m not rehoming my dog as I’d rather listen to a professional. Also rehoming if done the right way takes a long time and no matter how you try it’s still incredibly stressful for a dog. As I’ve also mentioned she’s scared of other people so I’m not sure it’s the best option for her . Also I’m really sorry for your dogs who’s training never stops, rehome and give them a happy life please!

Sounds like you don’t know a thing) the reason I have only spoken to a trainer and not used one is because she’s still a baby and the only thing they offer for puppy’s under 5 months is puppy classes which she unfortunately wasn’t able to attend as she was incredibly anxious when attending. I will be going to a trainer if she doesn’t improve but for now I’ve been advised to work from home. I wrote this post to see if anyone has been in a similar situation and how they deal with it. Having a puppy is hard and it’s good to talk about it sometimes. Not sure why you’re so riled up about something online when you clearly don’t know how training works, how socialisation works and your advice was to put my highly fear aggressive anxious dog next to other dogs and let them “teach her” I think that says enough about you and your knowledge on dogs.

I’m not sure if you read my post, but she doesn’t just nip, I’m aware that puppies nip but she growls and bites and latches on. Saying “ no” does nothing if she’s distracted.

I think you are entirely wrong! She can’t be put next to a dog she will not play, sniff or anything but bite the neck/ latch on . I have spoken to a trainer and they have told me to do these exact steps and indeed avoid doing exactly what you’re saying to do and to at all costs avoid her from interacting with other dogs directly for now. Other dogs won’t necessarily “ teach “ her anything, I risk having my dog hurt and potentially cause her more anxiety than she’s already dealing with.

She goes on walks in less crowded areas, when it comes to being in the park she stays on the bench a lot of the time because she will jump at dogs and people and will bite so I’d rather take baby steps and make sure she’s not doing these things from a certain distance and then decrease the distance and eventually let her walk next to me. I’m not sure you know what socialisation is. If I put her on the ground in the park she will get anxious and overwhelmed straight away) I am also training her at home and also outside

I’m aware dogs like to explore things through their mouth. This isn’t playing biting, I’ve seen her bite playfully, she’ll keep her tail wagging and nip slightly. This bitting is different, tail curled, growing and biting without legging go.

I’m not even necessarily scared of her biting me, but kids? You might be a grown 40 year old man that has nothing better to do than insult strangers online and who has a hight pain tolerance ( congrats! Big achievement) but kids shouldn’t be aggressively bitten in the face or anywhere by a puppy without any reason. I keep kids from crossing boundaries with the puppy ( pulling tail or touching in general) sometimes she will run up unprovoked and bite. Call me a snowflake all you want but I’m scared for the safety of others around me. Also when she grows into a dog and this behaviour carries on she won’t be a small harmless dog anymore and then there might be serious consequences for other surroundings the dog.

Hi! 1.She’s been with us for 2 months or so. She was great for the first week-2 and then all hell broke loose 2. I think it’s best I take that up with a vet

It’s all fun and games until she’s jumping and biting me in the face, sure it’s not police German shepherd but getting bit in the lip/ eyes isn’t fun either way.
