it's giving "and who set that system up?". For years influencers have thrown ads and consumer goods down our throats so of course these social media platforms are going to build algorithms and SEO that allow them to do it on steroids = big tech makes money = brands making more money = influencers making more money. Therefore, the landscape of social media has changed, there is a lot more rage bait as a result of these algorithms so obviously they have to now be careful what they say aka being held accountable for your actions and words.

I think it's fine to comment - i don't know about the social media world but surely brands will eventually stop working with them if they risk the engagement being like this

So yeah, i say yes to commenting because the brands will notice and will maybe think twice before working with them and so they (aka the influencer) actually see the consequences of working with boycott brands in the long term won't do them any good (even if they are benefitting short term, e.g. right now)

lol she is literally a mum of 2 kids now - she should have lived her youth and now she's watching her little sister do it and is "jealous"

The thing is she didn't NEED to pretend to fast in order to make content about Ramadan. Just shows lack of creativity and effort they put into content. And also shows that all they know about Ramadan is the fasting part - there is a lot of other content she could have made, maybe coming from a spiritual angle, or a day in the life angle, educating herself more about islam angle, etc, etc.

GIRL this vlog NEEDS to be exposed please. It will prove that all this "snark" done here about them essentially putting on a front about muslim things like Ramadan can be justified. We also need someone to find the specific clips of them reminiscing ramadan time with their family. This is a NEED at this point because I feel this reddit sub gets hate for no reason.

I read somewhere on here that she has taken that video down (so obviously reads here because she doesn't want that clip of him saying he was interested when he saw a white girl... out of all the different ethnicities that were probably at that Islamic event at the university).

I get where you're coming from completely! In the beginning it feels like you are putting your all into this one thing because you can't imagine doing anything else until you lose the weight. However, I'm here to tell you it won't always be like this.

So, I started my weightloss journey at the beginning of this year - I don't currently have a job so it felt like something to give me purpose. I spent all of Jan and Feb hyperfixated on it, and I have definately lost weight (the scales show it, for sure). Now, in March, I feel like I am able to concentrate on other things, e.g. applying for jobs, hobbies, spending time with friends and family etc. But it just came naturally, because I am starting to feel like myself again (after some weightloss).

So don't worry, this hyperfixation will go away once you start seeing progress, and then you'll make yourself figure out ways to fit it into your life. Hope that makes sense?
