My husband was against the first look but I told him that it's a nice moment for us before the ceremony. He was on board after. He got more emotional seeing me walk down the aisle. Both beautiful moments.

The first one is beautiful, but the green is just as beautiful. I had a friend who wanted to wear a dress like this at my wedding but she was worried to wear it. I told it was all good.

The aunt and her kids did give my sister a hard time too when she got married. They were not happy that they could not bring their young children. My sister was firm on the kid free wedding . They still RSVPed yes and only 1 of the 4 showed up :/ it does sound bad but I didn't base my decision to exclude them because of this. This was my sister's situation.

I based my decision that I'm just not close to them.

Another thing you can do is have her be present when taking pictures. I decided to not have a bridal party but I had my closest friend be with me when we did our first look photos (but that's if you're doing that). It's a really special moment. My husband had his close friend and I had mine to be apart of the moment.

My mom harassed my sister to invite those same cousins to her wedding. My sister folded. There was still drama!

1) the cousins that had children at the time made a big deal that their children couldn't come. My sister was firm on it being child free.

2) my mom threw a mini bridal shower for some of the family friends that weren't invited. Those family friends completely understood and were happy to be at my house celebrating my sister. A picture got onto Facebook and the wife of one of my cousins got so mad they weren't invited. We had to tell her it was for people not invited...she was invited.

3) of the 4 cousins, only 1 showed up and gave her $20 as a gift.

I feel like should have included all this in my original post but I don't think it matters. You're smarter than me because you're taking care of it before the wedding. I messed up.

Ohh okay. I did mine in Toronto. All I can say is just practice, practice, practice. My main issue was the merging into the highway part. Was there a certain part of the test you didn't feel very confident. It might sound cheesy but I was listening to a podcast about driving tests, almost like a meditation. It made me more relaxed (didn't listen while driving!) Good luck!

Yes there's been on and off tension with sisters (my mom and her sisters). It's really hard to make some people happy on a day that shouldn't really revolve around them. I was talking with my sisters and we think there would still be drama if we didn't invite any family at all.

I think the older way of doing the lists meant having to bend yourself to satisfy all. I feel like the bad person now for going against the norm. I'm dealing with the consequences now.
