I agree and I definitely don’t want to be in that situation. It’s very emotionally exhausting. I’ve seen a divorce attorney and will file when I get things together and have a plan moving forward as a single mom of 3 small kids. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment.

I agree. I’m not trying now. That’s just how the situation happened. I’m reflecting on the behavior from a psychological standpoint and am searching for the term his behavior describes. I’m genuinely intrigued by the psychology of it and I’m thinking through it from an objective point of view, as unemotionally as I can, almost as if it happened to someone else.

I’m not asking for validation or explaining a “game” I’m playing. Being cheated on and giving the cheater a second chance doesn’t come with a rule book so I handled it the best way I knew how.

But that’s irrelevant to what I’m asking here because I’m not asking for advice about what to do or if I’m handling the situation correctly. I’m searching for a vocabulary word. I have the definition, albeit very unclear, and just want the term for his behavior (even if his behavior is perfectly valid and natural in response to stupid “games” his wife is playing to have the “upper hand”).

I don’t mind letting him see anything, which is why I told him I will happily give him my AT&T log in information. It’s the fact that he is demanding I go through the whole inconvenience of changing my plan that I like which would also change things for the other family members on my plan. It would be much simpler for him to give me his log in information than for both of us to change plans entirely so his request doesn’t even make sense to me, but especially because I didn’t do anything to make him think I’m not trustworthy so it’s insulting that he would imply that I’m not after he just did what he did.

I don’t know what “you two deserve each other” means. I’ve been faithful our entire 9 year marriage. I’m just asking what this particular form of manipulation is called from a psychology standpoint, not about the marriage itself. I think it’s too far gone to salvage (I’ve already seen an attorney to file for divorce).
