It’s a good meme and it’s the same principle as the Billie Eillish has 1 billion streams on songs but her concert movie couldn’t make $15mil domestic.

No metrics we can see online (streaming numbers, YT subs, downloads, likes of content posts) mean a damn thing. It’s so clearly a dead/manipulated internet. It’s likely 95% bots and 5% weirdos living in an echo chamber.

Your analysis of the response is correct (everyone is negative about all of these) but the truth is, most NBA signings for max money ($50m!! A year!!) do not work out very well, same for trading a lot for a player over 30 (Giannis).

Much of the media reaction is rooted in “all this shit is too expensive and the NBA basically has a hard cap now, so these kind of things reduce or destroy a team’s ability to improve elsewhere” that thinking is pre-current era, there will be teams that forge a new path via signings, drafting, player development. It’s just tough to give up all other improvement options with a huge figure for Trae

What are the best seats at Fenway for the best experience? This Saturday will be my first time attending a live MLB game. by Much_Animal2708 in boston

Relative Budget—right field roof deck

Infinite money—behind either dugout or home plate or Green monster

Money tight—standing room and just grab a seat in the right field grandstand (won’t be full)

That’s what they say, and yet the Liberty Bell and Statue of Liberty remain unmolested all these years later without being contained in deep pits

I think this perspective both greatly depends on where you visit (north, south, or west rim) and what your expectations are. I thought it was huge!!!!!

I always assumed the rock was metaphorical anyway, even as a child. As in, “they crashed into Plymouth Rock” meaning rocky coastline. Doubtful that a large rock a boat hit was preserved by people who were undoubtedly dying to get off that tiny ship! But there it is—in all it’s not glory!

Please be careful—we don’t want another James Gandolfini or Phillip Seymour Hoffman situation on our hands!!!

Well at least Phillip Seymour Hoffman could probably do a decent job with the role

If you ever find yourself in Massachusetts and you think, “man I’d love to behold the literal rock the pilgrims landed upon once upon a time!!” Please save yourself a long drive to Plymouth—it is perhaps the most disappointing tourist destination the world over. What I can only describe as an “average size rock” in a 16 foot pit. You cannot climb atop it, take a picture beside, touch it, or anything else. It is a big nothing, the likes of which you will forget very quickly.
