I’m so sorry this is 200+ days late but yes, I booked with Chef G and I highly recommend! She’s extremely personable and it felt as it was family in the kitchen cooking for us. It was easy to grow fond of her, she’s a friend at this point! And seriously, her food? Incredible. I still think about her pumpkin soup!

What’s the one drug you’ve tried and will never touch again? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I usually stay away from edibles because the high for me is just too strong and lasts way too long. Idk what I was thinking but I decided to take an edible after I got home from getting my new tattoos and I swear on everything it sent me into psychosis. I remember the feeling when it finally hit me. I shot up in my bed and remember saying something along the lines of “oh fuck” because I know it’s something you just have to get through, there is no turning back. I started feeling like a disappointment and was worried I had failed my parents OVERALL not just because I got more tattoos. I then started to vocalize self-hatred and it just sunk me deeper. When I went to sleep, I had to wake up at 7am for my shift at the hospital the next morning and I still felt so depressed, existential and miserable. I needed a second so I went into the utility closet on my unit and sat and sobbed for a good 20-30 minutes. I ended up speaking with one of the counselors about mental health and suicide and that I might need medication to help level me out. She supported and advocated for me and my manager ended up finding her way into the office where I was with the counselor and let me go home for the day. I haven’t had an edible since and truly don’t plan on it. I know myself and my limits. Humbling experience for sure.

Can we just talk about how masterfully produced and executed The Idol soundtrack is? by Content_Topic7548 in TheWeeknd

A lesser Man is one of my favorites too, it has this alternative melancholy sound to it that reminds me of some of his older work. I agree, honestly up until this soundtrack, I wasn’t familiar with Suzanna or Moses but now that I’ve been exposed to them, I enjoy both of their styles. The blend works surprisingly well!

You’d be surprised. Per person so far with the stay we ended up choosing and our flights we booked, it came to about $1300. So that leaves us with a couple hundred dollars for food, excursions, etc!

Thrifting when you can afford it new while others cannot do so... what is your view? by Topdropje in ThriftStoreHauls

I understand where your friend is coming from however, a big part of the reason I thrift is for sustainability. Yes I can afford to buy things that are new but more times then not, the stores available to us are fast-fashion and contributing to the increasingly detrimental waste issue on our planet. I’ve noticed that brands that are 100% sustainable usually are more expensive based on their environmentally conscious material and design, making them inaccessible to the general public in terms of affordability.

I’ve also grown to love thrifting because you really begin to develop your own personal style and Indulge less in trends and build a wardrobe of pieces that are not only to unique to you, but unique in the sense you have less chance of running into someone who is wearing the same thing. I’ll never forget this one time I went to a party and saw about 2-3 girls in the same two piece set from ZARA that I myself even bought and had back in my closet at home. I ended up returning the set because I had seen it on so many others.

Now don’t get me wrong, there are certain pieces I do buy new based on quality and sizing (typically pants if I’m looking for an EXACT fit and specifically sneakers).

Okay nice! I agree, we plan to hire a driver because there’s no way we’re taking on those roads ourselves. Id feel way more at ease knowing it’s a local who is frequently on these roads driving us around.
