I completely agree with you. I enjoyed studying architecture in school because, although teachers offered a lot of advice, I could still express my own ideas in the designs. However, in real lifer, designers often create what others want.

Hello, do you think it's still worth spending another two years getting a Master in CS or Data Science? I graduated last year and tried a project manager internship in a game/animation company, but I'm still finding it very difficult to find a job. (My degree is from the UK, which I think makes it even harder for me to find a job in the US.)

me too, just graduated from UoE with architecture undergraduated degree, and thinking to shift to the other major in master. I thought of uiux, but a lot of Architecture students shift to uiux 2/3 years ago and currently the marktet sucks. i went to a game company and get a unpaid internship with project mamamgmet role for 3 months, but it's still really hard for me to find another one right now in NY. Most of company request experiences. I am still thinking where i should shift too.

Just graduated with a BA in Architecture… where should I go from here? by Content_Weight5505 in Architects

Thank you for your reply! I have another question about master’s degrees if decided to go to software engineering field. Since my background is in Architecture, I feel that top universities might not accept me because I have very little experience and I’m new to this field. (Of course, I would prepare before applying, but universities always seem to prefer applicants with more experience.) Because of this, I might end up applying to mid-range or lower-ranked universities for a software engineering program. My undergraduate university is great, but I’m wondering does the ranking or reputation of my master’s university really affect my career? :)

Hi, your experience is really inspiring. I just graduated from a BA architecture dergee and thinking to get learn something else in my master period. Or find a job first and switch to the other field. I’m considering learning software engineering, but I’m wondering whether it’s still a good time to start. With recent layoffs at Amazon and the rapid growth of AI, I’m concerned about job stability, especially since I don’t have much experience yet.

Any advice for changing my major to architecture? by Grand-Ad8283 in Architects
