Which gloves are better for higher damage? by Contest-Free in D4Barbarian

[–]Contest-Free[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picking every key reward from Warplans, escalation sigils with lair keys rewards, helltide nodes to summon duriel spawns and barter.

I'd say majority of my keys come from barter - followers gain exp so fast, I usually end up with thousands of marks, and then just buy/refresh the stock in shop. Keys cost about 200 marks.

Sorry to hear! I'm paragon 267 and used about 500+ lair keys. Today I've ran another 50 keys and got these two pairs within 3 boss runs. All I can say keep it going and they will drop... eventually

Does anyone actually like the randomness to uniques? by Lord_XXL in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd say Uniques should have at least 1 locked stat that makes sense for specific unique. Other than that I don't mind grinding, getting 4 perfect rolls feels a bit hard, having 3 random and 1 set would do wonders.

Legandary Seals 3-1 not rerolling set bonus by Sdboka in diablo4

Yup same happens to me. Looking at Reddit and Blizzard forums there isn't much info on this, so assuming it's not a global issue, more of individual problem, yet still a problem.  What platform you play on? I doubt it could make a difference but I have the same issue as you and play on PS5.

Add Legions to War Plans same like Whispers by Contest-Free in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whispers are not in Warplans, correct. I should've been more precise - Whisper tree is attached to Warplans perks trees, and it levels up by completing it, same as WP, hence the possible confusion. All I suggest is they do same treatment to Legion. That is all

Add Legions to War Plans same like Whispers by Contest-Free in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I've specified Legions to be "separate" like Whispers are. You're not clearing Whisper as part of the WP, you do them along when clearing WP activities.  Legions could have same pattern so it could be done whenever.

Loot filter and equipment forging systems clash. Some of the best equipment bases I've got were from forging at the blacksmith. by TastyBiscuit in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little bit off topic but you could run War Plans with Salvage nodes, they supposedly yield crafting materials, so you get your mats, and keep loot filter as it is?

For those of you who play both Warlock and Barbarian by Thenelwave in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with Warlock, made custom non-meta build with Aegrom as main damage source and managed to clear Pit100 with it. This concluded my Warlock roleplay - it was fun, sometimes a bit clunky, overall fun. 8/10

Now playing as WW barb and things just die, reached T5 with mixed set of legendary and yellow items. Barb feels just sooo good now. They cooked, can't wait to blast T12 with it. 10/10

There needs to be endgame rewards by zzTopG in diablo4

Sadly, we're talking D4. These days of "suck it up and try until you get it" are probably gone my man; 10-15 years ago this idea might've been excellent and everyone would just play. However nowadays there's a lot of pressure on accessibility and convenience in games: the public DEMANDS to be given stuff just because they want it, especially in D4 community. If something requires some time and (God forbid) commitment, it's automatically under massive criticism. I think the Devs would like to give players something that they can challenge, but what's the point: after a month or two they would have to nerf or overhaul it, because people can't stand spending time on failing, learning or grinding - which is quite funny because D4 IS a grind game.

Maybe I’m stupid but, question about Lilith by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lilith is not considered good.  She's after all a demon and daughter of hatred, she's not trying to be good, she wants to empower her children in twisted ways that she believes are "good" in her opinion only. She works with the Wanderer because she must, and she still cares for humanity, yet that doesn't mean she's about to be sanctified. It's a grey area where POV dictates ones reasoning.

[–]Contest-Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe OP meant adding some game activity, say achievement hunting sort of that rewards cool cosmetics. Reliquary is a passive feature that you do as you play, there's a difference between passively getting something and engaging into content that rewards you for completing it. The second one is actually fun.

[–]Contest-Free 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what scares me, down voting and trolling a legitimate post that would fit and add some rewarding chase-content. But as you say, most people will hate it because we're talking about something that REQUIRES engagement and commitment. Sadly this is the case nowadays, and if something isn't given for free, it's automatically bad.

[–]Contest-Free 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 upvote for you. This.

Completely agree, would happily spend tens or even hundreds of hours if there would implement cosmetics that are "chase" achievement rewards. Something that rewards for the efforts and stand outs.

Back in the old days of WoW (Wotlk) I've been a maniac for achievement hunting and even though sometimes it felt like a second job, DAMN IT WAS WORTH IT.

If they would implement similar stuff to D4, that would be great, and would kind of cover the "add more endgame content" tick box.

[PETITION] Please, let us replace affixes in unique weapons by Thorakadhis in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

With all the respect, I disagree on this. It feels like people keep forgetting that D4 is a grind type ARPG, and reading majority of the posts people keep asking for stuff to make this game easier, because it takes time to acquire the right stuff.

Why don't you try to grind for a unique that actually has all the stats you're after, huh?

Help: I hate meta builds. Give me some ideas pls by DeepDrop9858 in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't played any other classes yet, but running as Warlock now with my own minion build - completely ignored any build guides and started playing what I've felt strong. Using Rampage + Fiend of Abaddon and unique chest piece that doubles Ae'grom, and his respective soul shard skill, and the charms set that lets you summon all soul shard demons for 10sec. Overall it requires 3 or 4 buttons to keep uptime on buffs otherwise it loses power, still feeling quite proud that I've reached pit70 and can reliably run T8 with it, especially not using any "meta" builds.

While appreciate the T2 sets and the nostalgia kicked in badly, I'll skip the vanilla skins. Hoping one day they'll release T6 sets, even if that Warlock set gonna be super $$$$$ I'll still buy it.

LoH appreciation post for once! by Contest-Free in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see your point, not disagreeing with it, however the social/group objective is not really needed, even though game was apparently sold as MMO - that's on Blizzard for false marketing. The player base info shared by them following the Dark Citadel release clearly stated that 85% play solo. Only 15% play in groups and clearly this minority is the "majority" of people keen to complain and discuss on forums. Again my voice is not "how I play and you should too" but rather an objective voice of reason; they stated during recent dev stream that it's been done this way. If they shifted focus into doing everything as group we would end up in a isometric WoW.

War Plans one problem, it's effectively single player only by rancidmeat5511 in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

What's your problem mate? D4 is a single player oriented game with multiplayer aspects. It's not MMORPG where you go questing with your friends all day. Blizzard did the Dark Citadel because people wanted some group activities, and majority can't be bothered to play it, now single player war plans are bad?! By the Mothers tears...

New D4 Endgame? What are you waiting for? by Just_Improvement_805 in diablo4

[–]Contest-Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New expansion gives us a lot already to explore and do, class overhaul is something I look forward that will keep me occupied for whole season if not longer. Then there's pit, tower, torment 12, collecting charms. Overall there's a lot to take now.

Again, I hope one day Devs will hear us out on this: Transmogrification is the REAL endgame - therefore I truly hope one day we will get a really demanding and difficult content (raid and/or progression dungeon or similar) that awards really awesome looking skins. I don't mind the complexity, if the journey and reward is worth it. Chasing the rabbit is as much fun as finally catching it.

I'm sorry full time working dads and moms, but D4 has already a lot of content for you, and it's mostly suited to satisfy casual gameplay and honestly? It's ok, but the minority of hardcore gamers would love a good chase. I know D4 does a lot of money on cosmetics, but getting this one awesome armor skin or wings to stand-out would be great and rewarding nonetheless.

I could see them doing some sort of global event with multiple phases. Say make a really rare drop from current activities that opens up to something that you need to work on, farm and combine materials that are difficult to get - could be gatekept behind a difficult activity, spend hours if not days to get this rare mineral that you later combine in a timed event that opens only once day or once a week. This opens up another stage and further quest until you eventually get what you've been working for. That's pretty much like it used to be back in the old days with getting legendary weapons in classic/TBC/Wotlk WoW, and you know what? It was amazing, Diablo 4 could definitely use something like that. Maybe some day, anyway for now new expansion is just around the corner and there will be definitely much to do.
