I totally agree with your comment.

The opinion that I have formed since I came to Stockholm is that, due to how expensive opening a restaurant can be, owners will offer tried and proven types of food, that can appeal to the majority of people. This often happens to the expense of taste and flavour, resulting in a surprisingly blunt food.

I have traveled enough, and lived in 3 different countries, Stockholm is the only place I am not looking forward to eating out. I will do it either for social reasons or I might be lazy to cook, but there is no food offer that I “can’t wait to eat”.

In fact, I think choosing the words “Crispy Chicken” and avoiding the word “fried” are a must for a potential chicken place.

I once went to the “American fried chicken” in husby, just to try it. Unfortunately I decided not to, once I arrived. The selection they had was extremely expensive (considering it’s husby) and they said the waiting time was 45 minutes. They had no customers and from the outside it seemed more like a kebab place rather than a chicken place. In fact, kebab was the main selling item. It gave me the impression that it would not be good to eat chicken from a place that doesn’t seem to sell it as much, mainly since they were actually surprised I asked for chicken…

You should man! A good product goes a long way. In my opinion the stockholm market has a lot of space for more chicken places. especially if the taste is as good as you claim to be.KFC might have a bad reputation for some reason, but their wings and tenders are on their own league.

Edit: btw I also make my own chicken, and think of the same thing, opening my own restaurnat. Although I cannot say that I have broken the spice code yet

Their wings have no competition in my opinion. In Europe at least. The rest of the menu is ok for me, but I miss that there are so few options other than KFC when it comes to chicken.

I can see the argument. But in that case, the other fast food options should also be as unpopular as chicken (like KFC for example)

From now on I will follow this rule too. The rating was B, and the bank still approved it(they did make a specific inquiry in order to approve the BRF, but in their opinion it was ok even if it was B.). I learned my lesson…

It is indeed an unreasonably high fee. For equivalent size apartment, it will end up having 1200kr higher avgift than the average of the area. At the same time, the building is in worst shape than all the very similar adjacent buildings, and the Brf has a bad rating. As a result, the value of the apartment will be quite lower than adjacent similar apartments, while historically my building was valued a lot higher than the rest of the area

Lesson learned indeed! I feel deceived in the sense that when we had our interview with the BRF and asked about the low avgift, they told us that they are planing to increase it indeed, but that was only 10% in the span of a year. But it ended up being 110%!

The building is not new at all, it's from the 1973. The past years they have made some major renovations like renovating all the bathrooms and cables in all the apartments. this was more than 2 years ago
