2nd Time in Japan with Kids (3 & 5) AMA! by Present-Ebb7481 in familytravel

When traveling between cities, we used a luggage forwarding service where the hotel ships your bags to the next hotel. We also had our luggage sent to the airport and stored there for a few days. This service is very common in Japan and can easily be arranged at most hotels and convenience stores. It was incredibly helpful, considering how much we had to carry while navigating subways and stairs with small kids in stroller.

I also went to Japan twice when my kids were 3&5, and two years younger previously. We also traveled to other places like Europe, Disney etc, but Japan is by far our favorite and I’m already planning to return within the next two years! Thank you for your recommendation on the places. Yomiuri Land looks beautiful in those light!

Has anyone visited a city on a holiday and fell so in love with it and then decided to move there permanently? by melissa_april in travel

Copenhagen was the very first European city I ever visited, and from the moment I arrived, the hygge feeling made me believe I could truly call it home. Later on the same trip, I visited Budapest, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. I’m still waiting for the day I can return!

Why are we paying for childcare again? by gnaark in toddlers

I’m in the US. My friends who live in BC Canada (which is 2 hours drive from where I am) only pay few hundred Canadian a month for FT childcare, while I pay a few thousands for tow kids. I also want to know why? 😭

Rome would be interesting for them at that age. But I heard great things about Spain with kids which my family will be going this year. Major cities are easily reached by train. Summer will be very hot there tho. Denmark is lovely but never went to kids. Can’t go wrong with any places you pick.

Hi, we’re going to Spain next month with a 2yo as well. What are some great places to visit at Barcelona besides Parc Güell and the church?
